Sacred geometry is the deceptively simple yet profoundly insightful topic describing the underlying geometrical order of everything we call 'reality'. From atomic structure and crystals to galactic spirals and super clusters, all life conforms to the information contained in just six geometrical shapes - the five Platonic solids (these are fixed shapes) and the sphere (derived from rotating on several axis any one of the Platonic solids).

Patterns in nature, atoms, all the laws of physics, music, light, body proportions, plants, stock market trends, crystals...the list goes on. With proper explanation, even thinking processes and emotions can be mapped out using geometry. Therefore, Geometry + Life = Sacred Geometry.

This ancient Sacred knoweldge has been recorded, reflected and preserved for millenia in art, music and architecture. Even cities such as Ancient Egypt, France, Canberra (Australia), Greece and the forbidden City in China to name just a few, clearly reflect the use of various ratios, patterns and information derived from Sacred Geometry, in their layout and design.

This then explains why Sacred Geometry it is often described as being the language of God in various religions, particularly the older ones who still see geometry as a living language rather than how it is taught in the 'western world' - an empty spacial quantity, a mathematical construct void of any connection to the rest of existence.

The golden ratio was often used in the design of Greek and Roman architecture. Examples of this use of sacred geometry can be found in:

A contemporary usage of the term describes a supposed re-discovered mathematical order to the intrinsic nature of the Universe that is represented in crop circles and in ancient architecture such as the Great Pyramid and Stonehenge.
