I have doubts about mergers like [https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q61842241&type=revision&diff=1154273918&oldid=865684153] or [https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q663395&type=revision&diff=1154280121&oldid=1085449698]. On the one hand there is the person who holds a position and on the other the position that the person holds. :{{ping|Romulanus}} hi! I think I see what you mean, but for what I have understood of Wikidata the distinction is not made between the office and the office holder. For example, we have only {{Q|40779}}, not ''consulship'' (well I did found {{Q|3409274}}, but the corresponding French article is virtually inactive since 2010 and depending of the outcome of this discussion I'll redirect it). I'm unsure what would be the use of a page for ''consulship'', since everything related to the office itself is already on {{Q|40779}}. == Cambiamenti in dichiarazioni ==

Ciao! Innanzitutto grazie per aver annullato il mio annullamento in {{Q|367407}}: 408/407 a.C. e 407 a.C. sono sicuramente date di morte più precise rispetto a 408 a.C. Tuttavia, il motivo del mio annullamento non era una questione di merito (= non ho controllato se il dato modificato era migliore del dato precedentemente presente, il che era perfettamente verosimile), bensì una questione di metodo (= se una dichiarazione ha uno o più riferimenti a sostegno, ''non può essere modificata''). Nella fattispecie, di fronte a modifiche che interessano dichiarazioni provviste di fonti (soprattutto fonti che non siano "importato da: Wikipedia X", che non è considerabile una fonte) ci sono due atteggiamenti possibili:
* se ho poco tempo e/o la modifica sembra palesemente peggiorativa, annullo e basta;
* se ho più tempo e la modifica sembra potenzialmente migliorativa, annullo e poi cerco una fonte a sostegno per ciò che ho annullato; se effettivamente ne trovo almeno una, aggiungo una seconda dichiarazione provvista di quella fonte e, se ritengo che quella fonte sia migliore delle fonti che sostengono la vecchia dichiarazione, do a questa dichiarazione il rank preferito (cfr. come ho gestito la {{P|570}} in {{Q|367407}}).
Il punto fondamentale è che, anche se sto migliorando una dichiarazione, non posso far dire alle fonti una cosa diversa da quella che dicono; si tratta quindi di aggiungere, se è effettivamente utile (e spesso lo è, senza dubbio), una seconda dichiarazione che dia l'informazione più precisa debitamente sostenuta da fonti, lasciando intatta la vecchia dichiarazione. Per qualunque dubbio chiedimi, sono a tua completa disposizione, anche perché ho un vago ricordo che qualcuno in passato mi avesse fatto la medesima osservazione, quindi so che si tratta di un problemino frequente e assolutamente comprensibile.
