Is the new technology worth the 10 euros if you already have the original in your collection? Yes, I think so. Is it worth buying if you've never played Zero Dawn? The answer should be clear: Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered is a must-have.
Without quite matching the technical performance of Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered easily becomes the ultimate version of Aloy's first adventures. The game is more beautiful than ever and offers a facelift that is both super generous and successful... In short, it is THE version to discover this excellent action-adventure game.

I’m playing this on PS5 Pro, and the game is fantastic. Not sure why the user reviews are so poor. I loved the original on PS4 Pro, and this is pretty much the same game but with more enhanced visuals. It’s a worthy $10 upgrade if you loved the original. If Sony was charging full price with no $10 upgrade, I would’ve felt differently. If you didn’t like the original game, then skip this one. Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West are among the best games on any platform. I’m really enjoying the replay with these enhanced graphics.

If you haven’t played Horizon Zero Dawn, or are looking for a reason to experience Aloys story from the beginning, then this is the way forward. A gorgeous remaster that brings all of the charm of the original and all of the graphical deliciousness of the sequel.
There are probably few PlayStation players left who haven't tried Horizon Zero Dawn, a game that sold well - it exceeded 24 million in April 2023 - and has even been given away for free, but we can't forget that there will always be new users who haven't yet taken the first step in Aloy's shoes. LEGO Horizon: Adventures and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered are designed for them, and the reduced-price upgrade can be an incentive to play it again looking better than ever...The value of Remastered therefore depends on our interest or affection for an epic adventure with great moments, whether it's climbing the first Longneck, discovering the mysteries of a cauldron or surviving a Devilish Garrardiente. There's something about it that makes it the most prolific PlayStation saga today.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is a game that takes the already beautiful game two steps further in terms of graphics, but other than that, it does not make any other improvements to the game.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is a welcome tune-up of a modern classic. If you have never played Guerrilla Games’ 2017 original, this is the definitive way to experience it. While many of the visual enhancements may be rather subtle, they are widespread, and do a lot to bring the game up to the standards of its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. The new DualSense controller features and accessibility options are also excellent additions that serve to make Horizon Zero Dawn far more immersive and approachable. That said, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered doesn’t deliver much more than that, and players wanting more improvements on the gameplay side of things may be left wanting.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered doesn’t need to exist, yet here we are, and considering the $10 upgrade fee, its presence could have been significantly more barbaric. Passionate fans looking for an excuse to replay Aloy’s debut adventure with lovely visuals and a fresh list of trophies will find this remaster a no-brainer, but for a more sceptical soul like myself, it’s hard to look past the lack of quality of life improvements that only serve to highlight how far things have come since Horizon Zero Dawn first arrived, and how hard it’s become to look back.
Very beautiful remaster! I wasn't sure about it until I got into the game, but it is totally worth!
