After 15 years with the same leopard as its public face, the Locarno Film Festival has a new look
The 11 days of the Festival this year brought packed cinemas, extraordinary moments, and unforgettable encounters to the city of Locarno once again, capped off by the triumph of the Lithuanian drama Akiplėša (Toxic), winner of the Festival’s Pardo d’Oro of the Concorso Internazionale.
As part of an overhaul of its governance structure initiated in 2023, the Locarno Film Festival has added the final two names to its Board of Directors, bringing the total to a full seven members. It will also introduce a new executive management team, beginning in December 2024, which will strengthen the organizational foundations of the Festival.
