Way of the House Husband, volume 2 (from my TBR pile)
Such a simple and hilarious read! Also…I somehow have TWO copies of this volume??!! I‘m fuzzy as to how this happened 🤔 Most likely ordered twice without realizing, and then too lazy to return? Yes, most likely 🙄😆

What a beautiful little book. It‘s all conversations between the author and Gilda Radner, who were best friends for years. I love the glimpse into the mind of Gilda, what it was like talking to her. She was an amazing comedienne.

This was a hard read. Chris‘s life is told through quotes from people who knew him through every phase of his life. Almost all of it is heartbreaking. You see his family, particularly his father, enabling him at a young age. Chris‘s love and personality and generosity really shine though; I almost feel like I know him at this point. So then reading his descent to death kind of felt like I was losing him all over again, if that makes sense? Cont…

Lauranahe I remember when he died, and how horrible it was. But reading about all his volunteer work, his spirituality, his insecurity, and need for love while putting so much out there for others…it‘s heartbreaking. I felt down a lot while reading this. (edited) 3d
TheBookHippie I cried through this whole book. 3d
Lauranahe I did feel like crying several times. When I finished it last night and went to bed, my husband was like “what‘s wrong?” Nothing, except I just finished the Chris Farley book. 😭 So devastating. 3d

5 Stars • "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde is a comedic play that satirizes the Victorian era's societal norms and values, particularly focusing on marriage, identity, and the notion of "Bunburying," a term Wilde coined to describe the act of creating an alter ego to escape social obligations.

bookandbedandtea What a beautiful cover 4d
Suet624 Hmmm..this makes me realize I have not read any Oscar Wilde's work. I've read a lot about him but nothing done by him. Hmmm.. 2d
suvata @Suet624 Personally, he‘s one of my top 10 authors. His wit and sarcasm reminds me of Jane Austen. 2d
Suet624 That‘s good to know. 💕 1d

I love the overall vibe of this manga.
I can't believe how many people just don't recognize Sakamoto at first glance but our latest new arrival, the not so sharp sniper, Mashimo is clueless at first.

The comedic misadventures just keeps going as a case of mistaken identity leads Lu being kidnapped by some inept kidnappers, leading a different story arc with even more new characters as I'm left on a cliffhanger at the end of this one.

I rarely listen to audiobooks, but make exceptions for memoirs read by the person. I love Randy Rainbow, and hearing him tell the story of his journey from a chubby, awkward kid to YouTube sensation and star of satirical political parodies set to the music of Broadway show tunes was a rollicking ride. He‘s funny & self-effacing, and his brutally honest take on Trump and the GOP makes me LOL. Also loved the stories about his grandmother, Nanny.

LeeRHarry I‘ve just watched his latest video - love him and had no idea that this book existed! Stacked! 😊 1w

Amiable @LeeRHarry Definitely do the audiobook—I can‘t even fathom reading this without Randy‘s voice! He also just released a book of essays: (edited) 1w
