Are You Following a Flawed Script? In life, we often find ourselves following rules and guidelines set by others. But what if those rules are outdated, flawed, or simply wrong? Blindly adhering to them won't lead to progress. It takes courage to challenge the norm, to question the established order, and to rewrite the rules. Don't be afraid to edit the book when it doesn't make sense. Be bold enough to forge a new path that is better and more aligned with what truly matters. Dare to edit the book and make a difference.📖✍️ #Innovation #ChangeMakers #RewriteTheRules #BeBold #MakeADifference

In the creative journey, the path to originality and excellence is often more about persistence than sudden sparks of genius. James Clear's review of Arno Rafael Minkkinen's speech, "Stay on the Bus," brilliantly uses the metaphor of a bus journey to depict this concept. Crafting original work in any field is a lot like staying on a bus route: at first, your work might closely resemble someone else’s, but if you stay committed, the journey evolves distinctly 🚌. I've personally witnessed how easy it is to hop off the bus when facing setbacks or when discovering that my ideas aren’t as original as I thought. But here's the catch - the magic happens when you dig deep into these moments. By refining and persisting, your unique path slowly emerges, distinguishing your work from others’. This metaphor is not just for artists or writers but for anyone dedicated to mastering their craft. Whether you're developing a new business strategy, improving a recipe, or tweaking a design, the key is to stay on the bus 🔄. What bus are you currently on, and what has been your biggest challenge in staying on it? Have you ever been tempted to ‘call a cab’ in your professional journey? #Creativity #Persistence #Mastery #ContinuousImprovement #CareerDevelopment #Innovation

Author Seeds of True Success - Publishing fall 2024 Meditation Studies Initiative - B2B to improve wellness & job satisfaction / Director SkyHarvest.org non-profit / Owner Seeds of True Success training
🌱What is the Seed System❓ People have been asking lately - What is the Seed System? I am publishing a new book about using the Seed System in teams and partnerships for business or creative projects. The Seed System is a technique that uses the concept that you reap what you sow. What comes around goes around. ☯️ When you purposefully help other people who want something similar to what we want it makes an impression in your mind, like the indent when you press your finger into your hand. That impression in your mind matures and ripens in the mind until it later projects outward to create a successful project for yourself and for the other people involved. 🎨🖌️ What makes this possible, this idea that what we do projects out into our world, into our future, is that things are empty. The concept of emptiness simply means that everything around us is available. Things are not predetermined or fixed a certain way from their own side. We are influencing everything that happens in our future by what we do today. Those impressions in our mind are ripening and creating our financial success, our creative success or whatever we want to create. That is the Seed System in a nut shell. These two concepts are called dependent origination (or karma) and emptiness in the classic Asian texts. They always go together like a film projector 🎥 and a blank screen, they depend on each other to make the movie. This explanation may be a speed record, one and a half minutes 😆 #SeedsofTrueSuccess #BookLaunch #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #SeedSystem #AlixRowland #DCIG #Manuscripts #Resiliency #Selfcare #TransformYour Life #CreateYourReality

The Creativity Director 📣 Steering the creativity of brands, replenishing the creativity of marketers ➡️💡Original Thinking Workshops | Creative Direction | Brainstorm Facilitation | Social Media | Content Marketing 📷
What can we learn about creative thinking from dominoes? 💡 Well, if I asked you which domino is a bad domino which would you say? None, right? 👍 Because each one serves a purpose to knock down the next and the next and the next until they reach the end of the line. ✨ The same can be said about ideas. ✨ To achieve a state of creative flow in a brainstorming session or in our own minds, we need to remove thoughts of ‘bad ideas’ and not the ideas themselves. For if we remove just one domino, the flow is disturbed. A great book by Steven Johnson on ‘Where Good Ideas Come from’ spoke of how one idea is the doorway to another. Which means many of our greatest ideas wouldn’t exist without that initial one. ➡ ➡ ➡ ➡ ➡ ➡ ➡ ➡ 💡 So, next time you judge that first domino, that first idea, remember that it’s needed to get you to where you want to go. #creativethinking #creativity #creativeconsultant

What fires 🔥 you up about the work you do? What struggles, problems, and barriers do your clients face that you want to help them conquer? What pisses you off? What results, breakthroughs, and causes do you champion in your industry? What makes you want to cheer? Yesterday was the first day of Justin Blackman's Manifesto Maker Workshop, and these questions are still burning in my brain. Unlike a dusty corporate mission statement, a manifesto is real, raw, feisty, and yes, EMOTIONAL. To say that the first session was powerful is a gross understatement. The writing I did in that session brought me to tears. 😭 There is pure gold in those pages. Watch this space, because it's about to get 🔥hot 🔥 in here. (And if you're not following Justin and getting his emails, you absolutely need to! Even if you never become his client, his writing will make your writing better.) #manifesto #mission #writing #financialcoach

Organizational psychologist, Stanford faculty, New York Times bestselling author, and speaker. Eight books including Good Boss, Bad Boss, The No Asshole Rule, and Scaling Up Excellence. NEW:The Friction Project.
Here's how friction fixers think and act: 1. I am accountable for friction fixing, and so are you; 2. we are trustees of how people spend their time; and 3. friction fixing is a craft that we learn, practice, develop, teach, and spread. That's the upshot of this (lightly) edited excerpt in Fast Company from my new book with "Huggy" Hayagreeva Rao, "The Friction Project." https://lnkd.in/gPySnZJt
