We just received this message and yep I ugly cried!! “I received one of the Share the Dignity Bags for Christmas a few years ago and I’ll never forget how it made me feel. I was 16 and considered a young person at risk of homelessness and I was so grateful to receive a bag full of essential hygiene items that would have cost me a weeks wage plus I was stoked to get a new work bag! I remember it was a grey tote bag with 3 zip compartments and as I was packing it for work, I opened the 3rd compartment to put my work hat in and I found a whole bunch of different makeup items and I just cried. These makeup items included at the time were things I would never have been able to afford and it made that Christmas the first one in YEARS I felt cared about. I still think often about who the person was that donated this bag and how it became mine because at the time it was something I truely needed to feel like myself again. Thank you for all the work you do facilitating these drives because they change lives 🩷” Oh bless… the impact of just one bag is so profound 💕 https://lnkd.in/g2gaR5he
