Often we use automated web accessibility tools for the testing, but are they actually effective ??? I think there are certain areas where human intelligence is required over these automated tools. Most of these tools can test around 25 to 30 percent of the web accessibility guidelines but for other 70 percent we need manual tests. Let me share some examples a. Poor alt text see mostly automated checker might only care about whether the alt text is present or not but it doesn't care about alt text's correctness and meaningfulness b. Poor page title and Hyperlink text it also falls in the same category as above. c. For videos and audios it is difficult for automated tools to check accuracy of the captions and transcripts d. Automated checkers doesn't check the files which we downloaded are accessible or not #a11y #accessibility #AccessibilityMatters #teknotrait Teknotrait Solutions #accessibilityTesting

It's a tool that will help you figure out what guidelines you should be following when creating your website in order to make it as accessible as possible. Rather than wade through the whole list of requirements and decipher the definitions and figure out what it all means, you answer 8 questions about your site and it gives you what you need to know in a way you can understand it. Next up will be setting up the ability for you to filter your results so you can refine things even further, so keep an eye out for that. https://lnkd.in/egEWdmju

This is a great and simple approach for making a complex topic, like planning for accessibility guidelines in a project, straightforward. I could easily see incorporating something like this into a build workflow to output a checklist for review. It could also be helpful as an educational tool for clients to demonstrate to them the value of all that accessibility touches in a project.

In September 2013, the W3C published a Working Group Note titled Guidance on Applying WCAG 2.0 to Non-Web Information and Communications Technologies (WCAG2ICT). Since then, WCAG has been updated to version 2.1 and then 2.2, so the WCAG2ICT Task Force put a considerable amount of time and effort into drafting an updated Note taking into account the changes in WCAG. https://lnkd.in/gRYhe4My
