Had to take a break from #productdesign for @flutterflow and dive into to see if I could recreate this awesome interaction by @JordanAmblin (attached below): Inspired by this interaction -- (I wasn't able to do the swipe gesture -- but the rest works 😀) #flutterflow #interactiondesign #motiondesign #prorotype #flutter #flutterdev #ui #design #nocode #lowcode

Bubble has declared that "Prototypes Are Dead." Indeed, in light of the #NoCode revolution, the game has changed. And so has the pace of the tech world. But let's dive deeper. At the beginning of every great product stands the initial #idea.👇 The first question we need to answer is: who, beyond us, will love it? We used to test our ideas by presenting users our concepts as prototypes, usually Figma-designed mockups. However, the old-school #prototypes came with limitations: ❌ … The development of prototypes was very time-consuming. We never tested more than one idea. ❌ … The insights from prototype testing remained limited, limiting our confidence in the idea. ❌ … The designs were not scalable – meaning the efforts were wasted no matter whether the project was going into development. Enter #NoCode tools, such as Bubble and Webflow, transforming the product development dynamics: 🚀… With No-Code magic, we can create and test several solutions in parallel, which we call "multi-traction tests". These tests allow us to identify the most promising opportunity. 🚀 … Going live instantly lets us gather profound insights from real-world product performance, bolstering our confidence in the idea's validity. 🚀 … A successful idea swiftly evolves from a low-fidelity solution to Version 1 without squandering time or resources. The focus shifts to scaling the product efficiently. The pivotal question: When would you skip the classic UX prototype testing and go live straight away if it involved similar efforts? 👉 Join the debate on the future of product development! Share your insights and perspectives. Are we at a transformative turning point? Testing .... One, Two, Three .... Testing! Key technical aspects are common in the pursuit of rapid growth or early market validation, which can lead to significant technical debt, hindering long-term scalability, performance, and even the startup's ability to pivot or update its offerings efficiently. In a nutshell: Skipping #testing (e..g, unit and integration testing) to speed up development, leading to dormant bugs, poor user experience, and unstable releases. Lack of #documentation, which can significantly slow down onboarding new team members and increase the risk of misinterpretation or misuse of code. #Softwarearchitecture not designed for scalability in mind. Redesigning systems for scalability later on can be costly and time-consuming. See software design principles post https://lnkd.in/dpahtUEs Rushing to deliver features resulting in taking shortcuts and making compromises that add up as #technicaldebt, making future changes more difficult and risky. #Security considerations can be an afterthought in a rush to market, leading to vulnerabilities that could compromise user data and trust, as well as potentially attract regulatory scrutiny. Quick iterations with minimal #codereview and a focus on immediate functionality can lead to low quality, messy, hard-to-maintain #codebases that hinder further development. Startups might rely heavily on third-party #libraries and services without adequate consideration for their stability, security, or longevity, which can lead to integration problems and increased risk if these dependencies are not managed carefully. Ignoring #NonFunctional #Requirements such as #performance, #reliability, and #usability may take a backseat to functionality, leading to a product that works but doesn’t necessarily work well under stress. Insufficient #monitoring and #logging mechanisms can make it difficult to detect or diagnose issues quickly in production, leading to prolonged downtimes and frustrated users. Startups may not put enough forethought into #dataarchitecture, leading to issues with data #integrity, #migration, and #privacy. As data grows, these issues become magnified and more complex to solve. Mitigating these challenges requires a balanced approach to development that values quality, security, and maintainability alongside speed. Implementing best practices, such as #continuousintegration and #continuousdeployment (CI/CD), #automatedtesting, and prioritising key non-functional requirements from the outset, can help reduce technical debt while still allowing for rapid innovation and iteration. I'm three quarters in the #SoftwareTesting Course by the University of Minnesota available in Coursera, which has helped me reflect on recent projects working with several start-ups.

From content creation to ADA compliance to optimization of design to code (#figmaconfig2024 👀), AI is driving efficiency gains for designers and developers 🙌🏼 Beyond testing and leveraging emerging tools to improve our processes and clients, we’ve also been excited about concepting fully adaptive software interfaces. “In a world where the UI is adaptive to the user's intention, interfaces could become just-in-time composition of components through a simple prompt, or inferred from prior actions, rather than navigating through nested menus and fields.” (https://lnkd.in/dxx_2mM2) Clip from Gemini: https://lnkd.in/gH7Z2PV7
