Bold prediction for 2025: Investors will pay founders to access their venture data. Founders own their data and grant access to investors for a fee. This shift promotes transparency, trust, and efficiency in fundraising, while giving startups a new revenue stream.

The amount of founders time that is wasted on intros and pitches to investors who don’t even read a deck or website before the meeting, dont ask intelligent questions and seem to be confused about their own space is a huge burden for founders. This would be a very positive change and one that would re-align the incentives of time invested in fundraising. Not sure I see it happening though…

We've seen data become an asset in SaaS. Makes sense this could extend to fundraising too.
