Awesome day attending Figma’s conference #Config2024!
As we all have been talking about, Figma has launched a bunch of implementations including AI features, Figma slides, auto-layout improvements and a new UI.
I’m particularly interested in learning to use AI tools to optimize repetitive work, while focusing on research, strategy and problem-solving, which are the soul of a design project.
These new features sound super exciting and it seems that Figma has been taking notes of our needs. Great text tools, using auto-complete AI and translations to multiple languages, also the ‘’remove background’’ feature that seems relatively simple but will save me a lot of time by doing this in one click and not relying on Photoshop!
And, finally, a feature that allows us to rename layers in 20 seconds! Of course these are tools that won’t save all of our problems, but definitely they show the potential to make them much easier!
Glad to have been watching these panels with wonderful professionals :)

4moI'm a little nervous. Like, what did they do with the 'future human' that was built by robots, just let it go out amongst all of the Figmateers at Config 2024? And where did they go after Config? Like, where will they live? How will they survive? Where do the humans 'built by robots®' go in the wintertime? Do humans 'built by robots®' dream of ai-generated sheep driving EVs down to the local Ghost Mall? When will the madneSs begin?!?
