The name and shame list... (my 40th birthday present to myself) A while back, I wanted to quit Linkedin all together... I put a lot of effort into my content and growth programs. While my so-called "colleagues" (AKA "competitors") were secretly using my goodwill and publicly shared content to boost their brand and bottom line. And then Luke Matthews told me to "block" them... I did...and that block list has been getting bigger by the day Today... I am going a step further, I am naming them and what they stole for everyone to see... 1) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: A hybrid consultant/ provider and self-proclaimed biggest NDIS provider in Australia 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: He stole my time and tried to trick me into an "exclusive" contract while also covering his operational expenses. When I stopped him, he stole some of my growth tactics and my connection list and bad-mouthed me behind my back. 2) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: Another hybrid consultant/ provider combo x 2 (there are 2 of them) 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: My copywriting including style and keywords specific to my brand such as "empathy" and "participant journey" Also my resources by commenting the call out word on my posts (sometimes using proxies) 3) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: An NDIS software provider x 2 (there are 2 of them) 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: My copywriting including content, style, and ideas. Also creating a "community" to help NDIS proviers grow. 4) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: A coach who pretended to be a friend. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: Took referrals without reciprocating. And went after partnering with every single major partner I had. 5) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: Another coach who is a "thought leader" 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: Partnered up with No. 1 and No. 4 of this list and stole the names of my growth program, the components and module topics. Also got involved in practices with a provider that is bleeding participant funds and leaving them without support. 6) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: Big "consulting" firm x 2 (there are 2 of them) 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: They repurposed my content into course names and materials in newsletters. Once I blocked them, they also sent other team members to request my shared resources. 7) 𝗪𝗛𝗢: An "innovative" NDIS marketer 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: Pillars of my programs and content, sometimes word by word in his paid advertising. Also, messaged a couple of my clients through their published ads to POACH Why am I doing this? Cause I am sick and tired of this... Stop playing your game and sending "proxies", and stop pretending to want to partner up... The secret is out P.S. How awful, Loma! This just goes to show how much impact you’re making in your industry. It’s clear that your work and expertise set a standard others can’t ignore. I was reading this from my favourite copywriter and I thought I might share it with you: "If they're willing to copy you, funnel hack you, jack your ideas, and steal your creativity and hard work... ...That tells us something interesting about them. That tells us that they don't have any of their own ideas, don't have creativity, and don't have the hard work to get further than you are... ...If they're willing to copy, they're not willing to do the work, and that's why they're not willing to win, so they'll never win. Always a distant competitor at best. So don't ever think twice about someone doing that to you. They're only doing it because they can't do it on their own, and since they can't do it on their own, how much of a threat can they really be? They've always known this, and now you, too, know this. "

Loma, we could talk about this for days. Unfortunately, there are always some who try to take advantage, but they’ll learn their lesson along the way. At the same time, there are many who values others, are always willing go an extra mile to support others and work together. Sometimes, it just takes a little time to see who is who.
