UI vs. UX: What's the Difference? 🖼️ UI (User Interface): Focuses on the look and layout of a product. It's all about designing the visual elements users interact with. 🔍 UX (User Experience): Focuses on the overall experience and how the user feels when using the product. It’s about making sure the product is easy to use and meets user needs. #UIDesign #UXDesign #UserInterface #UserExperience #DesignDifference #GraphicDesign #TechDesign #WebDesign #AppDesign #UIDesign #UXDesign #UXUIDesign #UserExperience #UserInterface #UXResearch #UXDesigner #UIDesigner #UIUX #UIUXDesign #DesignInspiration #WebDesign #AppDesign #Figma #FigmaDesign #FigmaCommunity #DesignSystem #Prototype #Wireframe #InteractionDesign #UserTesting #Usability #ProductDesign #DigitalDesign #CreativeDesign #DesignProcess #MobileDesign #UI #UX #UXUI #UXDesigners #UIInspiration #FigmaUI #FigmaUX #DesignTrends #DesignTools #UserCenteredDesign #UXJourney #UIJourney

80-20 rule in UX design by Yashog Niranjan What is the 80-20 rule in UX design? The 80-20 rule, also known as the Pareto Principle states that approximately 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. In UX, this means that 80% of the problems your users will encounter come from 20% of the features on the product/application. By improving these key features, you can make significant improvements overall. For example, by enhancing the sign-up or log-in feature of an application (20%), you can improve the usability of the product by 80%. This is especially impactful if these are problematic areas, as it reduces user frustration and drop-off rates, ensuring that new users quickly understand how to use the app. Other areas you can improve depending on the problematic areas of the application include: 💡 Performance and Speed: Users are now more impatient than ever, so your application must operate optimally. If this means removing excessive animations on the platform, then do it. 🔍 Search feature: Make the search feature fast, accurate, and user-friendly, including filters and autocomplete suggestions. This helps users find what they are looking for more efficiently and improves overall satisfaction and engagement. 👨🔧 Customer Support: Users may encounter problems on the app and will need external help. Ensuring that customer support is easy to find and fast will enhance user satisfaction because users will know you are readily available when they encounter issues. 🛣 Navigation and Menu Design: This will help users easily explore the application without stress and confusion. 🔐 Security Features: An improvement to this feature will build user trust and confidence in the app, and reduce concerns about privacy and security.
