😱 Time flies when you're immersed in something as impactful as the On Purpose International programme! I haven't been the most consistent with LinkedIn updates, but here’s a bit of what I’ve been up to during the last six months... 💭 I started off by working with the On Purpose London team to develop strategies that would increase diversity in the Associate Programme. The challenge? Balancing bold DEI ambitions with the realities of business model constraints—a tricky but rewarding process. It was a great opportunity to gather insights from our #community, dive into best DEI practices from more mature organisations, and realise that #DEI is still very much a learning journey for everyone! 🌐 Next, I moved into the financial services sector, tackling a significant challenge: how to transform global DEI commitments into a more concrete, structured #strategy. The need for diverse perspectives is clear, but in a large organisation undergoing structural changes, learning how navigating internal dynamics was key. It was a steep learning curve, but a fascinating one! 🌳 Now, I’m excited to embark on the next phase of my journey—exploring the environmental side of the impact world at Ember, an energy think tank focused on accelerating the clean energy transition through data and policy. I’ll be working on Donor Relations and Impact. It’s quite a new space for me, and I can't wait to see where this next chapter takes me! If you're involved in #Philanthropy, #ImpactInvesting, or anything to do with #ImpactMeasurement, I'd love to connect—always up for a good conversation on these topics!

In a world facing numerous challenges, from climate change and social inequality to economic instability and public health crises, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the problems around us. However, dwelling on these issues without taking action does little to create positive change. Instead, we must shift our focus from merely acknowledging problems to actively becoming part of the solution. Our advocacy campaign, "Be Part of the Solution," calls on individuals, communities, and organizations to embrace proactive efforts and innovative thinking. We believe that every person has the power to make a difference, no matter how small their actions may seem. By working together, we can transform our collective concerns into a force for positive change. Why It Matters: - Empowerment Through Action: Taking steps to address issues empowers individuals and fosters a sense of agency. When we act, we move from feeling helpless to becoming catalysts for change. - Community Resilience: Collective action strengthens communities. By supporting each other and working together, we can build more resilient and inclusive societies. - Innovative Solutions: Facing challenges head-on encourages creativity and innovation. Solutions to complex problems often arise from collaborative efforts and diverse perspectives. How to Get Involved: 1. Educate Yourself and Others: Knowledge is the first step toward action. Learn about the issues that matter to you and share this information with your community. 2. Volunteer Your Time: Many organizations are working tirelessly to create positive change. Find a cause you’re passionate about and offer your time and skills. 3. Support Sustainable Practices: Make conscious choices in your daily life that promote sustainability, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and supporting ethical businesses. 4. Advocate for Change: Use your voice to advocate for policies and initiatives that address the root causes of problems. Join or start campaigns that push for systemic change. 5. Collaborate and Connect: Engage with others who share your commitment to positive change. Join community groups, attend events, and collaborate on projects. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, we can create a ripple effect that leads to lasting, positive change. Together, we can transform our world into a place where challenges are met with determination, creativity, and hope. Let’s move beyond dwelling on issues and start building the solutions we need for a better future. Join us in becoming part of the solution. #raleproject #people #products #projects #solution #advocacycampaign

Investments, Wealth, Sustainable Finance || Master of Finance, CFA Level I, CFP, CSC, ESG Specialist
In 2018, I embarked on a sustainability journey, pivoting my lifestyle towards more eco-conscious choices. This path took an unexpected turn in September 2023, while working on an Equity Stock pitch report at school, leading me into the realm of ESG Investing. Earning the ESG Specialist certificate, I deepened my knowledge on greenhouse gases, carbon markets, and ESG integrated financial modelling, enriching my understanding of the intricate relationship between finance and sustainability. Recently, I had the privilege of participating in the Global Sustainability Bootcamp organized by How to Change the World. It was here that I learned the critical importance of being adaptable. Although I came with a project that was very personal to me, I quickly saw the value in becoming a team player, which turned out to be the most enriching lesson of all. Team 1G, including myself—tasked with ensuring our project's timely completion and creating a space where every idea was valued and incorporated; Louise, who brought forward an innovative retrofitting initiative for Edmonton; and Caterina, the resilient backbone of our team. Alongside them, Sakib's probing questions and Sofía's crucial input were key in refining our final presentation. Together, we crafted solutions that address real-world challenges, guided by the framework of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our unified endeavour earned us the distinction of runners-up for the 'Most Implementable' project during this intense three-day bootcamp, a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication of Team 1G. I am immensely thankful for the relentless support from our teaching staff Muna, Kavya, Kevin, Fasih, and experts Lindsay, Claudio, Greg, John, whose advice was crucial to our success, and judges Kiefer, Mark and Omar. A heartfelt shoutout to Prof. Jason and Alana, the visionaries behind How to Change the World. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the incredible team working behind the scenes Yash, Sara, Florence. Their dedication to creating a space that united thinkers from across North America, Europe, and Africa for this bootcamp fostered an environment where innovative solutions can thrive. This bootcamp reinforced that the path to sustainability is a collective journey, filled with shared insights, challenges, and the transformative power of collaboration. #Sustainability #ESGInvesting #Teamwork #Innovation Proposed Solution Portfolios: https://shorturl.at/pruOU

Meet Xavier Auclert, a People-Centric Leader and one of the speakers at our panel discussion "Leading Beyond Labels & Stereotypes: Amplifying Strengths, Navigating Change." (un)common connections is tomorrow, last chance to grab your ticket! https://lu.ma/0jlhlrtf "I’ve spent the last 15 years exploring ways we humans can humbly nudge the world in a good direction. Towards more sustainable systems, and more humane relationships. Sometimes, I’ve even tried earning a living doing so. I’ve launched a sustainable travel business before it was a trend; I’ve volunteered; I’ve managed projects and teams in the renewable energy industry; I’ve helped pilot one of the oldest social businesses in Europe; I’ve even tried being a stay-at-home husband. I’ve had the most fun and the biggest impact when trying to make things a tiny bit better for the people right here, around me. On the work side, this meant building well-functioning teams. Teams where employees are not cogs in a machine, but where anyone can just use their unique quirks to deliver. On a day-to-day basis, it feels like putting an octopus to bed. In the long term, it’s system change. One of the things I’m working on today is “asking better questions”. Maybe you can help with that." Join Xavier and others for the afternoon of self-exploration, fresh perspectives, and, as always, meaningful conversations. #UnCommonConnections #ImpactInitiatives #MeaningfulNetworking #FutureLeadership #HamburgEvents

Head of Products at Inrate | Pioneering ESG impact ratings and data to drive sustainable transformations worldwide. (All views personal)
Embracing ‘Impact’! Sipping on my morning #coffee, reflecting on the past week both personally and professionally- '#impact' is the word that occupies my thoughts. Whether it's the professional in me entrenched in this space or the alignment of my beliefs and values with impact vibes, I can't help but be captivated. As I dive into weekend planning, a poignant realization hits me: in a world evolving towards an impact-driven culture, the parallels between #sustainablefinance and our #professionallives are glaring. Just like a company's efforts in sustainable finance matter only when they translate into meaningful change, our work lives derive significance not from clocked #hours but from the #results achieved. It's a paradigm shift away from the #traditional notion of busyness towards one that treasures #effectiveness and #outcomes. Beyond the realms of #finance and #careers, it's about seamlessly weaving impact into our #personal lives as well. Because, in the end, it's all about the impact we create – in the #choices we make, the #relationships we nurture, and the moments we cherish. Let's carry the essence of impact into every facet of our lives, making each step a #meaningful contribution to the tapestry of our existence. It's a ripple effect that changes our world, and in turn, the #world at large! #impact #results #sustainablefinance #professional #hours #work #choices #choicesmatter #growth #impactinvesting #responsiblebusiness #esg #esgdata #climatechange #responsible #sustainable

The deeper I dive into climate finance, the more it becomes clear: we're not just crunching numbers 📈we're reshaping the future of our planet. 🌍 Volunteering with the Finance & Markets Working Group - YOUNGO Climate Finance Academy 2024 (CFA) under YOUNGO has been an eye-opening journey. From unraveling the complexities of carbon markets to advocating for transparency in sustainable investments, the challenges are immense. But they’re not just ‘financial’ they’re about building the frameworks that will define global climate policies for generations. One major takeaway? Climate finance is so much more than the movement of capital💰. It’s about tearing down barriers that prevent young voices from influencing critical decisions. If we want to see real change, we need to channel funding where it matters most: frontline communities and innovative projects that can create a genuinely sustainable future. This experience has not only revealed the challenges but also empowered me to see the possibilities. Together, we have the potential to transform finance into a force for good. A special shoutout to our Director, Esohe Braimah, and CP Finance & Markets Working Group - YOUNGO, Genaro Matías Godoy González. Your unwavering leadership, guidance, and energy made this journey inspiring and memorable, especially working alongside passionate young people. Looking forward to continuing this journey towards impactful climate solutions 🗺️ #climatefinance #youngo #energy #youtharethechange

"Impact measurement is proliferating across industries, sectors and disciplines — as we seek to understand the real differences being made, reach ambitious goals for transformation and ask questions about what we could do better to address what needs to change." - In the new thought-provoking article, the Griffith Centre for Systems Innovation dives into the history of the impact measurement, suggests a systematic matrix on how to think about different impact measurement methods and argues that measurement, although incredibly valuable, is no the end in itself - it's how we use these results to inquire, learn and act. Very much aligned to what we are trying to achieve in WHO's Delivery for Impact team. Read more:
