45 years ago, the American Embassy in Teheran was overrun by Iranians and for 444 days, 53 Americans were held hostage. Justifiably, the fate of these hostages became a national obsession with constant news coverage. The ABC news program Nightline began during the crisis, initially called "America Held Hostage Day XX." Almost 400 days ago, multiple Americans were taken hostage by Iranian proxies - Hamas. Seven remain in Gaza, four still believed to be alive. Without in any way minimizing the ordeal endured by the Embassy hostages, they at least had Red Cross visits and were in relative safety. One can only imagine the ongoing hell of the current crop of Iranian hostages held in the horror tunnels underneath Gaza. Where is the media focus? Where is the public outrage? Americans are being held hostage. Free Them Now!
