SANS Technology Institute asked for a vlog about their program from master's degree graduates. Yes, it has everything you would expect in a world-class program, however, my biggest takeaway wasn't what you would find in the standard SANS/STI collateral. The reality is I don't know if I would have tackled many of my post-graduation challenges without that experience -- speaking, new business ventures, co-organizing cybersecurity cons, etc. I simply can't thank STI and the SANS Institute enough for what it has meant to me professionally. #infosec #cybersecurity

Two of Rubrik’s healthcare leaders shared some amazing insights earlier on This Week Health about the effects of #ransomware on #healthcare. Some highlights from the points they shared: 1. Your personal health information is worth between $200-$250 on the dark web. Your credit card is worth almost zero. That means #cyber #attackers are far more likely to target healthcare organizations… more $$ for them. 2. The average #hospital lost between .5 and 1% of its TOTAL ANNUAL REVENUE due to a ransomware attack 3. Healthcare organizations only spend about 3% of their budget on #security. Most regulated industries spend between 10-15%.
