🌟Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)! Does AI know? As someone who's blind, I can't stress enough how important it is for everyone to take accessibility seriously—not just today, but every single day. Accessibility shouldn't be a one-time campaign or an afterthought. Let's remember Accessibility is important every day. It needs to be integrated into every step of development and production. Let's work together to create a world where everyone has equal access to information and technology. #GAAD #AccessibilityMatters #InclusiveDesign #EverydayAccessibility #A11y

It was awesome starting the Global Accessibility Awareness Day #GAAD celebrations early last week , when I gave a keynote at the Knowbility #AccessU Conference, which was so much fun! And, I got to finally meet Meryl Evans, CPACC (deaf) and Sharron Rush which were highlights for me! I learned a lot last week, but I had some even better experiences! That aligns with my fundamental belief about accessibility – it’s about human experiences. This means that accessibility isn’t about compliance or a line of code, but rather about how people engage with content, and the experience that they need and want. So, no matter where you are on your accessibility journey, if you remember that it’s about human experiences, you’ll be on the right track (And that includes meeting great people along the way!) #Accessibility #DisabilityInclusion #Keynote #HumanExperiences

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day! Salad's own Derick Thompson caught up with Rikki Poynter, accessibility advocate & consultant to hear her thoughts on video accessibility in today's AI-powered world. Thanks to AI, it's easier than ever to add transcripts, captions and translations making our videos more accessible. At Salad, we recently launched a Managed Transcription Service (https://lnkd.in/eBE3ta2t) for this exact reason: To help companies transcribe 1000s of hours of videos at a low cost, ensuring video content is accessible to everyone in today's digital world. #accessibility #globalaccessibility #ada #captions #aitranscripts #GAAD #transcription
Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day! www.accessibility.day Take a moment to hear some words of encouragement from my friend Rikki Poynter, an advocate for the over 700 million people projected by the WHO to have disabling hearing loss by 2050. Ensuring that all videos are accessible to Rikki and her community is a problem that product, engineering, and MLOps leaders can solve with AI-powered captions and subtitles. #GAAD #captions #subtitles #ada #saladtranscription #accessibility

Thursday is the 13th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). As a leader in product, engineering, or MLOps, how can you contribute to the lives of over 1 billion people worldwide who have disabilities? Start simple.
