This article highlights the importance of providing users a choice and not forcing them into one type of visual experience. Also, there are so many system-level accessibility options that impact color contrast it is important to ensure the app or website is compatible with those accessibility settings too. #accessibility https://lnkd.in/g_3u4BN5

Imagine a world where every mobile app is effortlessly usable by everyone. As designers, we're not just creators; we're gatekeepers of inclusivity. Here’s how we can champion mobile UI accessibility: ➡️ Embrace Generous Target Sizes: Design with the understanding that every finger, regardless of its size or capability, deserves easy navigation. Starting at 44x44 pixels for interactive elements can be a game-changer. ➡️ Prioritize Contrast: Bold contrasts do more than beautify—they clarify. Optimize readability with striking differences between text and backgrounds. ➡️ Simplify to Amplify: Complexity confuses. Streamline your app’s navigation to guide users smoothly through their digital journey. ➡️ Feedback for All: Actionable feedback, whether visual or haptic, reassures users that their interactions are recognized. It’s a small detail with a significant impact. ➡️ Real Users, Real Insights: The true test of accessibility lies with its users, especially those with disabilities. Integrating user testing into your design phase reveals invaluable insights for improvement. 🚀 Design with Purpose: Make Accessibility Your Mantra 🚀 Let's not just design; let's innovate with intent. Making our apps accessible to everyone isn’t just an achievement—it's our responsibility. ➡️ How are you paving the way for a more accessible digital future in your designs? Let's share our journeys and tips to inspire and elevate each other. #MobileUIDesign #AccessibilityFirst #InclusiveDesign #UXHeroes

✨📱 This article really gets into the concept of "iOSification" in UX. It's all about taking the best features from iOS apps (and other well built mobile native apps) and bringing them into the web world to make sites more user-friendly and intuitive. We talk about stuff like keeping designs clean and making navigation a breeze. The whole idea is that by following these principles, websites can become a lot easier and more enjoyable to use. But it's not just about copying iOS blindly; it's about understanding what makes iOS design tick and applying those insights creatively to improve web UX 🚀 #UXDesign #iOSification #WebDevelopment #UserExperience #UIUX #DesignThinking #Apple #iOS

🚀 Mobile UI Design Tip: Icon & Touch Area Sizes! Designing for mobile apps? Make sure your icons and touch areas are easy to tap and accessible! Here’s the golden rule: 🔹 Icon Size: 24x24 px 🔹 Touch Area: 48x48 px (minimum) Why? 💡 Fingers > Precision – People’s fingers aren’t as accurate as a mouse click! A larger touch area makes sure users don’t miss their taps or hit the wrong button. 💡 Consistency = Better UX – Keep the same touch size for all icons (menu, back, search) to avoid confusion and ensure a smooth experience. 💡 Accessible for All – It’s not just about aesthetics; this sizing helps everyone, including those with larger fingers or motor impairments. So, next time you're working on mobile app design, remember: small icons, big touch areas! 🚀✨ #UIDesign #UXTips #MobileDesign #Accessibility #FigmaTips #DesignEssentials

Great app design isn't just about aesthetics—it's about creating an intuitive user experience. The Gestalt principles, rooted in psychology, can help you design apps that are not only visually appealing but also easy to navigate. Here are six key Gestalt principles to consider: •Proximity Elements that are close to each other are perceived as related. Use proximity to group related features and create a logical layout that guides users effortlessly through your app. •Similarity Users instinctively group similar elements together. Consistency in color, shape, and size helps create a cohesive and intuitive design, making it easier for users to understand your app's functionality. •Continuity Our eyes follow lines and curves naturally. Using continuous lines or aligned elements can guide users' attention smoothly through your app, making the navigation experience seamless. •Closure The human brain tends to fill in missing information to see complete shapes. Use this principle to create engaging designs where users can intuitively fill in the gaps, such as in icons or incomplete images. •Figure-Ground This principle involves distinguishing between the foreground and background. By using contrasting colors or shapes, you can ensure that important elements stand out, making your app's interface clearer and more user-friendly. •Symmetry and Order Symmetrical designs are often perceived as more harmonious and balanced. Applying symmetry and orderly arrangements can create a sense of stability and professionalism in your app design. Incorporating these Gestalt principles can transform your app design, making it more intuitive and enjoyable for users. At Matrytech, we're committed to creating user-centered designs that not only look great but also enhance the overall experience. Ready to elevate your app's design? Let's connect and explore how we can make your vision a reality! #AppDesign #UIUX #GestaltPrinciples #Matrytech #DesignThinking #UserExperience

🎯 Why Target Size is Crucial for User Experience Have you ever tapped the wrong button on an app or struggled to click a tiny link on a website? It’s not just you—these are common issues that stem from inadequate target sizes in user interfaces. Ensuring that clickable areas are of an appropriate size is not just about improving user comfort; it's a critical aspect of accessibility. According to the WCAG guidelines, having a minimum target size ensures that all users, including those with disabilities, can navigate and interact with ease. 🖐️ Why does this matter? Small targets can significantly increase user errors, leading to frustration and decreased overall satisfaction with your digital product. Fitts's Law teaches us that larger and closer targets are easier to interact with, which is why they should be a key consideration during the design process. Furthermore, providing adequate spacing between targets and offering clear visual feedback upon interactions can prevent accidental clicks and enhance the overall user experience.🔍 Let’s also not forget about multi-input adaptability. Whether it's a tap on a touchscreen or a click with a mouse, ensuring sufficient target size across different devices and input methods is essential for creating universally usable designs. 📢 Designers and developers, let's make inclusivity and user comfort our priority by designing with generous, well-spaced targets! My first mobile app UI design was a STRUGGLE!!! I still remember feeling a mix of excitement and nerves when I was creating the design. I watched countless tutorials, and it was tough to figure out color dynamics, layout, and all the other little details, especially when I felt like I didn't know what I was doing. (Can you tell that I had just learned how to use drop shadow? 😅) Thinking about it now, that project taught me a lot. I learned how to pay attention to details, how to apply conventional UX principles, and, most importantly, how to keep going even when things got tough. I'm grateful for pushing through, and to anyone starting out: don't be afraid to dive in! Trust yourself, learn from your mistakes, and keep going. You'll be amazed at how much you can grow. #learningandgrowing #firstui #wednesday #visualdesign #uiux #linkedin
