CEO CrowdHealth

“If your identity is “CEO” or “founder,” then if you fail you feel like you’ve lost everything. If your identity is “dad,” “mom,” “husband,” etc., then if you fail at work, your core identity is still intact. That is a much better place from which to thrive.” https://lnkd.in/etX7rhr8

John Oberg was the first to introduce me to the idea of Identity/Role Theory and it really changed my perspective. I have an identity as a child of God, and I also have many roles: father, husband, employee, boss, friend, etc. Sometimes I may fail at my roles, but my identity is always intact. Every morning I write in my journal, "I am a Child of God, I am loved, valued and worthy." It sounds corny, but it helps remind me.
