Whether you speak a verbal message or not, you are preaching something every day… I challenged our team yesterday to consider this thought… “ when you walk into a room, what is the first thing that people think of?”… As we interact with our colleagues, clients, and teams this week, remember: 💥 if you want respect, be respectful… 💥 if you want grace from others for when you drop the ball, be quick to give it when others do the same… 💥 if you desire clear communication and transparency from others, speak and communicate in the same manner 💥 if you want your team to go the extra mile and deliver, be willing to do the same for them where they find value! 💥 if you want your boss to have empathy with your current situation, be willing to express the same in their direction… 💥 if the only time you’re willing to give is when you think you can get something out of someone, eventually people will simply perceive that you are a taker! The old saying is something along the lines of, “ I couldn’t hear what you were saying over the noise of your actions!”…. Looking forward to the opportunity of delivering the right message to those around me today! PS… showing off my new custom built pulpit… 😉

Mastering the Q&A: How to Handle Questions Like a Pro The Q&A can be the most nerve-wracking part of any speech. Here’s how to handle it like a pro: - Listen Actively: Don’t rush to answer. Take a moment to fully understand the question before responding. - Clarify If Needed: If a question isn’t clear, ask for clarification. This shows that you care about giving a thoughtful answer. - Acknowledge Tough Questions: If someone asks a difficult question, acknowledge its complexity before answering. This shows humility and keeps you from appearing defensive. - Don’t Be Afraid to Say "I Don’t Know": It’s okay not to have all the answers. Offer to follow up after the event if needed.

🚨 Unpopular opinion: There's No Need To Sugarcoat 🚨 Here's the deal—when sh*t hits the fan (and let's face it, it can happen), it's better to address it head-on rather than sugarcoat the situation. I always ensure that all communication with our clients, and our team, is open and honest especially when talking about missed deadlines, dropped balls, or unforeseen challenges. It's only ever been beneficial and means that we have an environment where everyone feels empowered to speak up and lend a hand to help get sh*t done. Sure, it might be uncomfortable to admit when things go awry, but in my experience—transparency breeds trust... When we're all on the same page, we can rally together, problem-solve, and get things back on track faster than ever. 💪 So I'm passing on the sugar thanks. #Teamwork #OpenCommunication #TransparencyIsKey
