“Jason is a compassionate, dedicated, and extremely hardworking manager who cares about his employees just as much as he cares about his work. During the time I was employed by CIG and reporting to Jason, he was regularly the first one in the door, and the last one to leave - not because he felt he had to be but because that’s just who he is. He is hungry for success and motivates those around him. He constantly challenges the team he’s managing to excel past what is perceived to be limitation and always question if there is a better way to do something. Jason constantly fed us information - whether it be a book to read or an article on some new technology. He is not afraid to say what needs to said. He is not afraid to challenge the opinions and beliefs of those he’s managing or being managed by. Personally, I consider Jason to be an exemplary leader, manager, and the best boss I’ve ever had. Not only because I could talk to Jason about any work-related problem, but because he genuinely cared about me as a person. He cares about his employees professional lives as well as their personal lives - whether they have a healthy work-life balance, how the family is doing, etc. Jason is the definition of a servant leader and regularly asks, “what can I do for you?” He wants to help his team win in any way he can. Jason always stressed the importance of goal-setting and helped each team member develop a career path and yearly goals that would help them get there. Every week, Jason sits down with each of his team members individually and reviews their progress on their goals, their level of contentment with their job, and any issues that team member may be having - professionally or otherwise. Jason wants to see his employees succeed more than he cares about his own personal success and that is something that is rare in today’s world and something that - as his employee - I valued about him more than anything. Any company that hires Jason would be making an extremely wise decision. Not only will the people he’s managing be happier, but the team as a whole will strive forward by the leadership, motivation, and dedication of Jason Smith.”
