How can you receive feedback from your team to improve your management skills?
Agree with this as not one size fits all and everyone reacts to feedback differently; whether good or bad we all have our own ways of accepting feedback. The backbone for honest feedback is vulnerable trust. If the person giving feedback and the one receiving it have a relationship built on trust they will take feedback in the right spirit. However, giving feedback without that relationship usually backfires. As humans we always want to be liked/appreciated and it takes a while to actually accept negative feedback let alone act on it and improve.

How can you receive feedback from your team to improve your management skills?
My belief is that feedback is a gift: we have to create a culture where feedback is appreciated and treated as a gift. A gift that helps you get 1% better. At egen we try to create that culture when someone gives you a feedback say thank you and treat it as a gift. If you find merit in it , incorporate it and improve. If not, just appreciate the feedback and move on.
