“I worked with Matt on a side project to investigate modifying FactSet's query and database technologies to leverage HBase. I always found Matt to be very helpful, in explaining how the query technology worked, what was reasonable to change, and how to change it. He always provided a thoughtful analysis to my ideas, and even dedicated some of his own time to the success of the project. This included writing code to implement some of my ideas that he helped refine, and also defending those ideas to his superiors. Matt's energy and passion to his work and mine was contagious, and it was great to work with him.”
