NYU Pilot Program with Ngaged Software

Ngaged is a Brooklyn-based software and technology start-up focused on transforming the learning process for the University and broader education market. We worked closely with the Ngaged team to produce a platform for student and teachers to interact outside the classroom.
Our work resulted in a series of mobile HTML5 prototypes which allowed the developers and primary stakeholders to test key user scenarios. We worked with The Jim Henson Company to design, development, and launch the creatureshop.com website. The outcome included in-browser design with responsive visual pattern library for design review, a custom content management system (CMS) front-end, configuration of the CMS admin, and production release of the site in late January 2014.

The outcome included a CMS prototype which allowed Elixir Design to refine the website content, conduct in-browser testing of typography and vertical rhythm, and to tune image sizes for multi-device rendering.

We started with an extensive content management session in order to organize the flow and hierarchy of information on the JBEI's website. We then migrated all existing content into a WordPress CMS and designed and built a custom WordPress theme based on the Genesis theme framework.
