What every Temp Staffing Firm Ought to know about IndeedFlex... ⚠ USA TODAY ran a paid story from Indeed last Friday. Front and center in the article is a video from Indeed Flex's CEO, Novo Constare.  If you own or work in a temporary staffing agency of any kind, you should drop what you are doing and read it now. (I'll add the link in the comments) If it isn't already clear to you, INDEED IS YOUR DIRECT COMPETITOR. They aren't even pretending not to be.  Watch the video! I don't blame them... The market for temporary staff is growing tremendously in the form of Gig Platforms, and Indeed wants their piece of the pie.  📈 As they point out, businesses who's success depends on using agency staff, face 3 key challenges (see the video for the list) They go on to outline the tools that Indeed can bring to an organization to solve those challenges. Hint: it involves cutting your agency out of the equation Pay close attention to their mobile first approach.  As Indeed already knows, over 70% of all job searches are via mobile devices. For Temporary workers, my guess is that its closer to 90% or more.  So did Indeed build a better website to advertise their new Temp Staffing Agency?  Did they buy an SMS service to send better blasts? Of course not.  They developed a mobile platform. They call it IndeedFlex. They developed something as close to an "Uber like" experience that they could for both the clients and workers they want to work with.  Why?  Because this is where staffing is going. This is where staffing has GONE.  This is how a mobile workforce wants to interact with work. Most Staffing Firms will catch on eventually...  But just like other game changing technologies before it, the early adopters are going to reap the largest rewards. They already are. Jax 5.0 has arrived here at Jobot! OG Jax has experienced all 5 iterations of Jax the software. When asked what his thoughts are about the Jax 5.0 release, he went on to say... How can AGENCY RECRUITERS leverage data to attract more clients/candidates?! READ CAREFULLY BC THIS IS GOING TO HELP YOUR BIZ DEV/RESOURCING EFFORTS: As a headhunter, our job is to sell our expertise to our client and candidate base to gain potential new business. Incorporating data into sales copy is highly useful when creating pitch decks, prospecting documents, and social medial content. For instance, compensation data is a hot topic for headhunters to speak on. Since every headhunter usually services a tight niche, their insights are highly valuable as both clients and candidates want to understand - what IS the market going rate for XYZ level and/or type of talent in ABC city? Headhunters can share this type of compensation data in order to showcase their deep insight and pulse on relevant, timely information. Another example could be past placement data, such as: - What percentage of your past placements were in the executive level or senior level? - What were the average salaries you placed candidates at? - What are the gender or racial demographics of your placements (could be especially important for DEI-focused agencies) - What percentage of candidates you've placed stayed past 2 years? These are all data points that headhunters can find in their systems and integrate into their outreach efforts. Since agency recruitment falls under the greater category of sales, other sales roles can also leverage similar data points to win new new accounts and capture market share. TRY IT OUT into your email copy, your next pitch, your social media content, etc. Get creative, look at your past placement history, and use it to educate your market! #HiringManagers, #Recruiters - gut hiring has a .17 validity coefficient, among the least effective employee selection methods out there. A better way: Structured and job-specific. - Identify the tasks necessary for success on the job - Establish performance criteria - Develop screening questions to confirm candidates meet minimum performance standards - Develop task-specific interview questions that require candidate proof of performance for each specified task - Create an interview response rating scale to score candidates Hiring is a science. And as you can see, the difference between a mediocre and high performer is too significant to ignore.
