His past convinced investors to provide funding despite Jensen's initial poor elevator pitch. First Principles - Given the conditions of today, given your motivations, given the instruments, tools, how things have changed, assess every opportunity on how you would re-do. This sparks creativity and innovation. Leading Indicators - Early indicators of future success or EIOFS are critical. You need to know as early as possible that you are going in the right direction. Core Beliefs - You always start with a core belief, continue to believe in it unless something changes your mind. Look for EIOFS, pursue it with all your might for a very long time, surround yourself with people you love, and take them on that ride. Focus - Do the work that is hard, impactful, and important. Understand the concepts of the critical few, 80/20. Humility - No task should be beneath you. His 1st role was as a dishwasher at Denny's. Sharing with others how you reason through problems with transparency can be empowering for your team. Role of a Leader - Create the conditions by which your people can do their life's work. The evaluation of monolithic #AImodels to #compoundsystems is an active area of both academic and industry research. Recent results have found that “state-of-the-art #AI results are increasingly obtained by compound systems with multiple components, not just #monolithicmodels.” These findings are reinforced by what we see in our customer base. Take for example financial research firm FactSet – when they deployed a commercial #LLM for their Text-to-Financial-Formula use case, they could only get 55% accuracy in the generated formula, however, modularizing their model into a compound system allowed them to specialize each task and achieve 85% accuracy. #largelanguagemodels #genai https://lnkd.in/gQdDWNdR

Capabilities and challenges for embodied AI -- I'll be giving a brand new talk live on-line this morning on "Machine Learning Capabilities for Applications". 10 AM Eastern time on Wed. Sept. 11. Abstract: While most discussions of machine learning concentrate on the underlying mechanics, this talk discusses their capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses at the level of how they can be applied to a wide variety of real-world applications. What a fantastic week at the Design Automation Conference, #DAC61.  #SiemensEDA launched multiple innovative solutions targeting #AI and #3DIC applications, delivered more than 25 technical sessions, 30 booth presentations and participated in several panels and posters. Big thank you to the DAC organizers and our events team – you knocked it out of the park. I had a chance to meet with many of you to discuss our new #Solido Simulation Suite, featuring #SimAI, the latest iteration of our AI technology that pioneered the design and deployment of AI for the EDA industry. Sim AI works with our #Calibre, #Tessent and our electronic systems design and PCB solutions, providing full-flow verification solutions across applications for our customers.  To support the expansion of 3D IC, Siemens EDA introduced #Innovator3DIC, a comprehensive cockpit for 3D IC design, verification and manufacturing, constructing a digital twin and Calibre #3DThermal. Calibre 3DThermal mitigates risk through automation, allowing designers to iterate thermal analysis at whichever design stage they are working on. Calibre 3DThermal integrates seamlessly with Innovator3D IC software. This shift-left approach can prevent costly and time-consuming downstream rework or suboptimal results.    As we saw in the lively panel discussions featuring Siemens DISW CEO, Tony Hemmelgarn, the electronics and system design industry is rapidly evolving, driven by the needs of the software-defined, silicon-enabled systems.
