    We’re proud to announce the completion of the build and commissioning activities of our Back-2-Back Motor Test Rig in Kemble, UK ✈️ This year, we have begun testing our 600kW motor on our in-house Back-2-Back system. This involves the coupling of our motor to a secondary motor to effectively simulate a dynamic load (i.e., a propellor). This set up enables power regeneration through the secondary motor, creating a closed circuit and efficient testing of up to 600kW max power using only 170kW of input power. Our motor is designed and produced to aerospace standards, allowing for a high-power density and reduced weight, with advanced thermal management technologies. We are collecting data on both the electromagnetic performance (current and voltage) as well as mechanical output (torque and speed) using our in-house, high-speed data acquisition system. The Back-2-Back will provide developmental test data to ZeroAvia's Motor development teams and can be further used for formal verification testing in the future. The Test Rig is a key development project for the System Test team, allowing ZeroAvia to trial our certification test processes and procedures for both test rig development and test campaign delivery in readiness for the ZA600 hydrogen-electric engine test programme.     Seven years ago this week, on Friday 3 November 2017, ZeroAvia, Inc. received its certificate of incorporation. Since then we have: ✈️ Twice broken the record for the world’s largest hydrogen-electric aircraft in flight, most recently our 19-seater aircraft using hydrogen-electric technology Dornier 228 testbed. ✔️Developed unparalleled high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell technology and next generation aerospace electric propulsion systems to unlock 80 seat regional aircraft and beyond. ⚡ Launched our range of hydrogen and electric aviation components including electric motors, inverters and fuel cells, which will enable revolutionary advances in an even wider range of aviation applications – including UAVs, eVTOLs, rotorcraft and battery-electric fixed wing. 🛫 Partnered with more than a dozen airports over multiple years to plan for the infrastructure and operations to support hydrogen use at airports. 📜 Submitted our ZA600 powertrain for certification, bringing us closer to commercial deployment of zero-emission flight. 🛠️ Built state-of-the-art hydrogen fuel cell testing labs and component test rigs to enable our push towards the first certified product. As we continue to push the boundaries of hydrogen-electric technology, we remain committed to revolutionizing aviation and achieving commercial deployment of our innovative solutions.
