At the 12th ASEAN-US Summit in Vientiane, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) and the United States reaffirmed their commitment to promoting safe, secure, and trustworthy artificial intelligence. In a joint statement, both sides emphasizedAI’s tremendous potential to drive progress while emphasizing the need for strong governance to mitigate the risks associated with the technology. 📸 Here’s a glimpse of the “Trustworthiness Day: Korea-Thailand TRAIN Workshop” held in Bangkok on October 25-26th as part of the AI Thailand Forum 2024! 🌏✨ We had an incredible lineup of sessions that brought valuable insights into AI trustworthiness and best practices: 🔹 Session 1: Dr. Tachanun Kangwantrakool discussed AI standards set by third-party certification bodies (CBs).  🔹 Session 2: Dr. Othmane Atif explained 15 trustworthy development activities along with validation requirements and methods within the AI development lifecycle.  🔹 Session 3: Dr. Saraswathi Sivamani introduced the curriculum, educational design, and exam questions for the AI trustworthiness expert training program.  🔹 Session 4: Dr. Saraswathi Sivamani also shared technology for data bias verification and application cases of AI robustness evaluation. We'd like to share the latest updates on Trustworthy AI trends from TRAIN Global. Türkiye is establishing a legal and ethical framework for AI with the support of national and international experts. Minister Kacır outlined the steps Türkiye is taking to regulate and guide the development of AI technology, including the formation of two working groups: the Ministry of Industry and Technology(MoIT)'s “Trustworthy and Responsible AI Working Group” and the Ministry of Justice's “AI Law and Ethics Working Group”. It will be interesting to see how Türkiye's AI governance takes shape. We've got news from TRAIN Korea. An article covering the news of the 2nd TRAIN seminar to be held tomorrow afternoon is being published. This 2nd seminar of the Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence International Network(TRAIN) will provide an opportunity to understand the definition and necessity of data governance in the AI era and present optimal strategies for establishing an ethical data utilization and protection. This is the second regular seminar organized by TRAIN after the first one in August. The third event will be held in December this year on the topic of “Data Bias Issues and Solutions,” and bi-monthly seminars will be held over the next year on topics such as “The Risks of AI Extraction and Manipulation (4th),” “AI Alignment and Management Framework (5th),” and “The Importance of Human Supervision and Real-World Cases (6th).
