About us
Orlando City SC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015, and in 2017, moved into its privately-owned downtown soccer stadium. In 2022, Orlando City SC re-launched OCB as a founding member of MLS NEXT Pro to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

📣Join us in celebrating Alexis Montero, our Teammate of the Month for both Orlando Pride and Orlando City SC! As our Motion Graphics Designer, Alexis excels at creating, executing, and delivering motion graphics that elevate our team’s brand across gameday presentations, broadcasts, social media, apps, live events, and more. We're grateful to have you on our team, Alexis! We had the opportunity to ask Alexis a few questions: Passionate: What keeps you passionate about your role with Orlando Pride and Orlando City? 🦁 A: What keeps me passionate in my role with Orlando City and Orlando Pride is knowing that my work elevates the fan experience, creating unforgettable, one-of-a-kind moments. It’s incredibly rewarding to share my work with thousands of people, bringing excitement and connection to each game day. Diverse: Your most memorable moment with the club?⚽ A: My most memorable moment with the club was creating my first set of animations for a City matchday and seeing them play live. Having attended games before joining the club, I experienced how one day, everything looked more dynamic and alive, and knowing it was my work that made that transformation was an incredible feeling!

Meet Steven Wilbourn! He joins the Orlando City and Orlando Pride as the Market Intelligence Manager! Q: How did you get your start in the sports industry? A: After earning my undergraduate degree in Government and working in that field in D.C. at the start of my career, I went back to school to get a Masters degree in Sports Management. Sports - as a fan and as a player - have always been a cornerstone of my life, so pursuing a degree and career in that field was something exciting for me. My first job out of that program was working at an independent league baseball team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In between thinking of ways to bring data and analytics to a baseball team with limited resources you could find me pulling the tarp, throwing batting practice for groups, or handing out coupons during games. It was a great way to have exposure to all of the facets of the organization, and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Q: Why Orlando City/Orlando Pride? A: Orlando City and Orlando Pride represent the community, bringing people together through a shared passion for sport. Joining Orlando City/Orlando Pride is an opportunity to be a part of an organization that values excellence on the pitch and positive impacts within the community. Q: What is your favorite sports moment? A: Walking on the track at the Circuit of the Americas for the F1 podium celebration in 2023. Q: What is your favorite outdoor activity? A: I enjoy playing tennis and pickleball. I've completed a Hyrox race this year and am getting ready for another one next year!
