The Congruent Ventures team spends much of the year working with our portfolio companies to pull together our Annual Climate Impact Report, and we are thrilled to hit the publish button! Over the past seven years Congruent Ventures has been at the forefront of fostering innovation and sustainability, contributing to the creation of over 2,300 climate-related jobs and generating more than $4.9 billion of enterprise value across 54 companies. Notably, 80% of our investments were in the first institutional round with over 50% of our investments led by at least one underrepresented individual. Congruent Ventures reposted this
I’m gratified by the support of our existing (Blue Bear Capital) and new (Congruent Ventures, Moxxie Ventures, and MetaProp) investors in our over-subscribed A1 round. This is not the easiest time to raise new capital, but Demex’s unique ability to address a multi-billion-dollar global reinsurance problem combined with our demonstrated market traction over the past year made for a compelling investment case. I’m proud of what the Demex team has achieved so far, and I’m looking forward to working with such engaged investors Hank Hattemer, Ernst Theodor Sack, Abe Yokell, Katie Jacobs Stanton, Alex Roetter, and Zak Schwarzman as we rapidly scale the company based on our initial success.
Demex is excited to share we have just completed our $10.25m A1 funding round that will enable us to continue to address the largest weather-related insured loss challenge in the global insurance industry – severe convective storms. Thank you to the fantastic support from our existing - Blue Bear Capital - and new - Congruent Ventures, Moxxie Ventures, MetaProp - investors. We are looking forward to helping provide financial stability to more P&C insurers through our breakthrough parametric reinsurance product in 2025 and beyond. #parametric #reinsurance

We're proud to spotlight our portfolio company, Kodama Systems, which is at the forefront of addressing one of our most pressing climate challenges: wildfires. Through their groundbreaking technology, Kodama is revolutionizing the way we manage our forests by automating logging operations, increasing the capacity for timber crews to thin woods, and enhancing our ability to map and monitor forest health. Kodama is not just making forest management more efficient, it's also making it safer and more sustainable! #ClimateTech #WildfirePrevention #ForestManagement #Sustainability
Big thanks to Tim Fernholz for taking the time visit our project site and share our work through The New York Times! Let's continue to build technology that increases capacity for boots on the ground and gets us all closer to solving our wildfire crisis. Keep it up Convective Capital and BurnBot, Inc.!

Great to see Applied Carbon emerging from stealth! They're one of the few CDR companies that's not just great for the planet, but also good for farmers, soil, and ag yield. Rebuilding soil quality with nature-based plant-sequestered carbon is a global-scale opportunity. We partnered with Jason Aramburu and Morgan Williams to seed the company, but have had great partners since the beginning and in the current round. This is a solid syndicate: TO VC (to.vc), Wireframe Ventures, Anglo American, The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, Microsoft, TELUS Pollinator Fund for Good, Overture , S2G Ventures, Autodesk, and Congruent Ventures. Thanks for the reporting Tim De Chant (TechCrunch)
