Behaviour Support Practitioners Australia (BSPA) has been established as a key affiliation for behaviour support practitioners to support the development of practice expertise across disability and community-based setting in Australia. BSPA will be established independently to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission but will seek to establish close liaison with the commission as an industry voice.

Dr Alinka Fisher (BDisRehab, PhD), our Chair, is a Senior Lecturer in Disability and Community Inclusion within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University. Alinka has over 18 years of experience in positive behaviour support and completed her PhD in PBS for adults with brain injury, with a focus on family involvement. Alinka is an active researcher in this field, and a regular presenter at national and international conferences, bringing a wealth of experience to the BSPA Board.
