At Angel Aerial Systems, innovation is a team effort—and we’re incredibly grateful for our partnership with Prusa Research and the TRILAB team over the past two years. From our early days, they have been a vital ally in our journey to develop airframes with exceptional quality and cost-efficiency. TRILAB's DeltiQ and AzteQ Industrial 3D printers played a pivotal role in getting us here, enabling us to bring new design ideas to life quickly and refine them through each iteration. Now, we’re thrilled to expand our production capabilities with the latest Prusa Research Pro HT90 printers. Angel Aerial Systems was the first North American company to receive an HT90 as a beta tester and now have the largest fleet of HT90's of any OEM in the world. These cutting edge but cost effective machines allow us to produce every airframe iteration and every replacement part for our flight tests in-house, making us faster and more agile. What might have taken weeks or even months can now be achieved in hours or days, empowering our engineers to rapidly test and refine new ideas. The impact? We’re equipped to deliver innovation to our customers faster than ever, with the durability and strength our airframes demand. Just wrapped up a roadshow with Will Hasting, PE & Steve Saunders through Texas that culminated at the INTERPOL Drone Expert Summit, closing out our 2024 conference schedule. For the first time, we started including live demo flights—still humble on the surface, but backed by an incredibly challenging journey just to get this far. I'm so thankful for everyone that's helped us along the way, shared your experience and feedback, and fueled us with your excitement. Your insights confirm that we’re solving a real need: extending drone flight time to better serve those working to protect and support our communities. Now, it’s all hands on deck at Angel Aerial Systems as we focus on bringing the next major Trio airframe evolution to life, with plans to debut it early next year. Glimpse the Future of Public Safety Drones: Our First Live Demo Takes Flight at IDES2024! Next week marks a pivotal milestone for Angel Aerial Systems as we'll conduct our first-ever LIVE demo of the Trio drone at a public event—the Interpol Drone Expert Summit, October 30-31 in Florence, TX. We’re excited to introduce the world to the next era of drone technology, purpose-built for DFR²: Drones for First Responders and Drones as First Responders. While our technology is still in development, this early preview offers a glimpse at our cutting-edge windmill mode and dual optical/thermal camera capabilities—showcasing how we aim to redefine what’s possible with up to 2 hours of hover time on a single battery charge. It may be a small demo, but it’s a giant step toward delivering the flight endurance and time on scene capability needed to make DFR an integral part of public safety operations. After being dark for more than two years, the Roswell Flight Test Crew YouTube page has sprung back to life with an interview I did at Commercial UAV Expo with Dennis Krause of Angel Aerial Systems. And, I have to hand it to Dennis and his team: They have developed a remarkable flying machine and found an ideal use case for it: supporting first responders. I won't say any more so as to not spoil the video itself, but it's an amazing piece of tech and aeronautical engineering, so check it out and let me know what you make of this thing. Another Commercial UAV News in the rearview mirror already! 🚁 This year, the 10th Annual, was another one for the record books! 📚 Enjoy this highlight reel and some of my reflections on this past week: 🌱 Larger, stronger, longer - for the first time, the show floor was dotted with hybrid and hydrogen aircraft, as well as heavy lifters.  🌟 New entrants - while some of the usual suspects were missing this year, there seemed to be a ton of newbies eager to make their mark in the industry. My 3 faves: ORTHODRONE , Soaring + Angel Aerial Systems.  🛩️ Pilots galore - the remote pilot community showed up in force. Kudos to DivCom for creating a PilotHub area for them. Between that and the demos, the attractions clearly worked! ⚡Big, big energy - the vibe was electric (no pun - because, as I said, there were hybrids and hydrogen birds there too). The excitement for what’s new and what’s next - and the joy of seeing familiar faces and meeting new colleagues - it was all palpable! 🎉 🎰 Viva Las Vegas - I may be biased, but there’s just no place like Vegas for an expo. Thanks again to Carahsoft for co-presenting our 4th Annual Flash Mob networking happy hour (another success story). And hats off to Spandex Nation, who continue to rock the Carnival Court several nights a week. 🎶 The food, the fun, and the sparkling lights in this town always set the tone for a magical time! ✨ Until next year, folks!
