Marvo KG972W is a keyboard with a 98% layout and 95 keys. Its size is as you’d expect from a full keyboard and it weighs just under 1 kg. The design is fairly simple all around but the keyboard still manages to look pretty great. The font is clean and minimal, the alternate key functions are clearly displayed and the best thing is that it features high-quality double-shot PBT keycaps that won’t get oily or degrade with prolonged usage.

One standout detail on this keyboard is Marvo logo inscribed on a thick piece of acrylic. Marvo even offers you the option to have a custom logo or pattern inscribed here so you can have something a bit more unique. The RGB further adds to how good the keyboard can look because, even though the keycaps here aren’t shine-through, it gets very bright with around 21 presets to play with.

The keyboard is fully hot-swappable but even with stock switches – the typing experience here is something else. Not only is this keyboard gasket mounted but it also features both a layer of silicone and foam to make that sound profile as close to the enthusiast level as possible. The sound is somewhat thocky, the factory lubing seems consistent and there’s very little rattle on the larger keys. It’s going to be a great keyboard for anyone who doesn’t like the hassle of disassembling the keyboard and lubing its various components.

Besides the standard cable connection, you can connect the KG972W wirelessly with Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz wireless using a USB dongle. Using any of the two is reliable, the connection is rock solid and there’s almost no latency to speak of. Powering the wireless connectivity is the 3000 mAh battery. I’d say you can get around 14 to 20 hours of pure usage with RGB out of it before you need to bring in a cable. If you are the type who dislikes RGB, the good news is the keyboard is perfectly able to keep going for a week or even more. Summary
KG972W from Marvo is one great gasket-mounted keyboard and it comes at a fair $130 price point.  The wireless connectivity, beautiful RGB, and solid battery life are just the cherry on top of a great typing experience and sound profile that you get right out of the box.
