Right from the get go, the Keydous NJ80 feels like a true premium product. Essentially, it’s a relatively compact 75% wireless keyboard with a clean, minimalistic design. It has a unique milky colorway with a dash of blue and yellow that’s really pleasing to the eye and feels like a great fit for a warmer, retro setup. Besides the beautiful color, the keycaps are made from really high-quality PBT plastic and have sharp, minimalistic font, and a really comfortable, uniform profile.

While the keyboard is hotswappable, the Kailh BOX Blueberry Ice Cream linear switches that we got on our review unit feels like a perfect fit. They have a 40 g of actuation force and 3.5 mm of total travel, which alone makes them great for both typing and gaming. Furthermore, their boxed construction, along with the generously lubed stabilizers on the larger keys makes them incredibly stable, rattle free and smooth to bottom out.

That, along with the solid brass plate and a layer of foam, makes the NJ80 an absolute joy to type on. It’s actually one of the best pre-built keyboards I’ve used and as close as you are going to get to a thocky, satisfying sound without going into modding and additional lubing of the individual components. The user experience is further elevated by a more than welcome tactile knob in the right-hand corner of the keyboard – a feature usually present in much more expensive keyboards.

The NJ80 is also highly versatile in terms of connectivity. It offers a type-C wired connection as well as wireless with either Bluetooth or the 2.4Ghz dongle. You can connect the keyboard up to 4 devices and switch between them on the fly using the keyboard shortcuts. Wireless is supported by a hefty, 4800mAh battery that can keep going for around 4–5 days without RGB, half with the lights turned on.
