The Season of Love has ended in The Sims 4, and with that, a brand-new season begins. This one, which has just been announced, looks quite mysterious and mystical, which will be fitting for the Halloween season. The new season has been announced with a title: To Be Continued. This brand-new season starts from September and will run until December 2024. Like many past seasons, To Be Continued was revealed in a short teaser trailer, giving us a look at what’s to come between September and December. However, unlike past roadmaps, we have a much clearer idea of what to expect. Lots of content is coming with To Be Continued. Let’s break down each one.

Two New Kits

First up this season are two brand-new Kits. Both Build Kits, they are titled Storybook Nursery and Artist Studio. Like many other Kits released for The Sims 4, they will both come out on the same date, on September 19th. The clues of the content in each Kit is in their respective titles. Storybook Nursery includes new objects for babies, so we could be looking at new cribs, changing tables, and décor. As for Artist Studio, this will allow you to put together professional-looking studios for your artistic Sims. It doesn’t specifically state what kind of artistry, so it could be painting, writing, music, or other creative pursuits found in The Sims 4. Presumably it will be for painting.

New Reward Event

Remember not too long ago when there was a new type of event in The Sims 4 that allowed you to unlock new content by playing the game? That’s coming back this season. Starting from September 24th, the Reaper’s Reward Event will let you unlock new stuff by helping the Grim Reaper out. More information on this event should be coming soon, so stay posted.

The To Be Continued Season in The Sims 4 has a mystical-yet-spooky theme going compared to last season's love theme.

The Reaper’s Reward Event then leads up to the next major announcement…

A New Expansion Pack

Yes! The Sims 4 will be getting yet another big pack in the form of an Expansion, not long after the release of The Sims 4 Lovestruck Expansion back in late July. This Expansion Pack will be the 17th in The Sims 4 series and will be titled Life and Death. As of yet, not much is known about this pack, but apparently, we should know more on October 3rd, when new information is released, presumably an official reveal trailer. It’s only a month to wait, so not too long. We at least have an official release date for the pack: October 31st, aka Halloween, which seems very fitting. So far, all we know is that this Expansion will feature the Grim Reaper and explore life and beyond. This still leaves a bit of a mystery, but if Lovestruck gave Romance a big overhaul in the game, perhaps Life and Death will enhance ghosts? We’ll just have to wait and see.

New Free Updates

The final content reveal for the To Be Continued season includes free updates. Some updates are major, adding new gameplay, while others are more minor, adding a few cosmetics here and there. From watching the teaser video, it’s hard to guess what this free update could include. It could be anything. With the mystical spooky theme going, we might be getting a new supernatural life form, which is a popular request from The Sims 4 players, or even a free new world to play in. Again, only time will tell.
