Starfield’s new DLC – Shattered Space – will be coming to the Xbox and PC later this year. Bethesda has been teasing it for a while now, and what better opportunity to finally release the first trailer than the Xbox Games Showcase? While there is still much we don’t know about Shattered Space, the 3-minute trailer did have some important markers.
As confirmed by Bethesda, the Starfield DLC will be set in the city of Darza on the home of House Va’Ruun. The eerie trailer features abandoned facilities brimming with deadly creatures and floating corpses. We also catch a glimpse of the external environment; red flashes of lightening flicker against the multicolored skies, and beautiful auroras dominate the otherwise foreboding land.
While Bethesda did not reveal much about the Starfield DLC, there is talk in the trailer of “The Great Serpent” and how it will decide our fate. There is also mention of how coming to this location was a mistake. It will be interesting to see how exactly the narrative pans out. Here’s hoping Bethesda gets things right!
