Square Enix tandems with PlatinumGames once again in order to bring an action title, Babylon’s Fall.
Both companies have seen success when they brought Nier Automata into the market. Following on that achievement is yet another venture, but involving a completely new IP. Babylon’s Fall, which draws inspiration from both Nier Automata and Bayonetta, will feature a similar action-oriented combat with unique aesthetics.
Showcasing a nearly 3-minute video at Square Enix’s presentation for E3, the developing game shows watercolor-like palettes on complete 3D models. The flair of which, while may not be to everyone’s tastes, offers a quaint charm that can grow with anyone.
The visuals may be one thing about the up-and-coming project, but so is its fluid-looking combat. It is further embellished with the addition of special effects for skills used in actual battle. Both ideas of which hardly coming as a surprise considering the prowess of the studio behind the game’s making.
Speaking of having abilities to employ, it’s likely that the game will feature classes, which will give players options for different playstyle.
Although story-based, the game’s campaign will not make the players feel alone, however. As seen in the video, the player will have the presence of stalwart allies who will make each battle less difficult.
