Spacestation Gaming Wins HCS Arlington Major With Updated Roster

Spacestation Gaming has proved themselves that a new team change was needed for this victory. The team decided to go after a European superstar player to help them improve their performances against some of the best teams that Halo Infinite has to offer. Time will tell how much success this new roster will help for Spacestation Gaming.

Spacestation Gaming Wins HCS Arlington Major With Updated Roster

Spacestation Gaming has won the first major LAN event for Halo Infinite’s third competitive circuit season for $100,000. The tournament ran for three days. It happened on March 15 and ended on 17. The roster is mostly the same from the last season, but they have only replaced one member.

The entire roster is consist of Adam “Bound” Gray, Kevin “Eco” Smith, Braedon “StelluR” Boettcher, and the newly Kaci “Lqgend” Sabri. Sabri is the only player who originated in Europe. This LAN victory solidifies him to be the first European pro player to win a major LAN event within the Halo Championship Series lifespan.

During the tournament, Spacestation Gaming has comfortably put themselves in the Grand Final after beating OpTic Gaming in a 3-2 victory. It should be noted that OpTic Gaming has made a team change. Their new member, Zane “Pznguin” Hearon, was a former teammate for Spacestation Gaming last season. Hearon now goes by a new gamertag as “deadzZzone” under OpTic Gaming’s Halo Infinite roster.

Spacestation Gaming would have a rematch against OpTic Gaming in the Grand Final. Spacestation Gaming only needed to win one series from here to win the tournament while OpTic Gaming needed to win two. Most of the matches within the Winners Final and Grand Final were evenly matched. There was a reset on the second match during the Winners Final. It was Team Slayer on Recharge where the two teams were forced to reset due to a tie at the end.

Despite most of the games were neck and neck, there was a Strongholds match on Solitude that was heavily in favor on Spacestation Gaming. The game happened in the Grand Final and it tied the series for both teams. OpTic Gaming was in the lead until the last three games. The Grand Final would be in favor of Spacestation Gaming with a 4-3 victory after being down by 1-3.

The next Halo Infinite major LAN event will happen in London on May 31 to June 2.
