On June 18, 2024, Nintendo shared their Nintendo Direct livestream, showcasing games coming through the rest of 2024 into 2025. One of the most significant announcements at the direct was the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
The newest title in the series is putting Link aside for a moment, falling into the strange rift, and having players step into the role of the Princess looking to save her kingdom.
Rifts & Hyrule
The game is set in the lands of Hyrule, while Link and Ganon are trapped in the rifts. It is up to your wisdom and creativity to help Zelda figure out the mystery of the rifts plaguing Hyrule and save Link from his fate.
Hyrule, Echoes of Wisdom
At the moment, we have no confirmation whether players will be able to enter the rift.
Echoes
With Tri’s help, Zelda wields Echoes. Imitations of things found throughout the world of Hyrule, recreated in a blink by the princess. Echoes are helpful in a variety of different ways, combat, movement, and solving puzzles.
One of the first examples we see is Zelda creating the Echoes of tables to climb up a cliff side. Later, Zelda can put down Echoes of Water, creating pillars to swim up to reach higher peaks.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set to release Sep. 26, 2024. With the later September release, fans can most likely look forward to hearing more info later this Summer.
