Relive Iconic Duels in Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection

If you're looking to hop back into the classic duels from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Series, then Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Day Collections takes you back to the original Game Boy era of games to Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2, which was released on the Game Boy Advance.

Early Days Collection. So far, Konami has stated that five games are coming to this collection. But that wasn’t always the case when the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection was first announced there were only two games revealed to be a part of the collection.

Reading Konami’s website contains a little more information. On the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection website, we see Konami state, “More titles to be announced.” The game is currently planned to release on Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Game Collection

The first game to be included is the first Yu-Gi-Oh! game in the Game Boy line. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters was originally released on Dec 16, 1998.

The second game confirmed is Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters II: Dark Stories, which was released the following year on July 8, 1999. This title is being advertised with Game Boy Color, along with the following titles.

The one game in this collection to get a Western release is Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories, which was released in Japan, on July 13, 2000. The North American release was on Mar 18, 2002. This Dark Duel Stories would be named and known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters III: Tri-Holy God Advent.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist was the final Game Boy Color to be included in the collection at the time being released Dec 7, 2000, exclusively for Japanese audiences.

The final game we have confirmed so far is Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2, which was released for the Game Boy Advance on Dec 20, 2001.

Physical Bonus

Besides the ever-growing list of old games being included in the collection, like Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, The Early Days Collection’s physical edition includes two cards. Harpie’s Feather Duster (Quarter Century Secret Rare) and an Alternative Art version of Harpie’s Feather Duster.

The bonus cards are limited to the Americas and Europe. The Japanese version includes a different card. Do you plan on picking up the Early Days Collection? if not Konami has plenty of other games.
