More Information Revealed About The Sims 4’s Reaper’s Rewards Event

Details about the upcoming new event in The Sims 4, Reaper's Rewards, have been revealed, including information on what rewards players can get and how they can obtain them through their game in the coming weeks.

More Information Revealed About The Sims 4's Reaper's Rewards Event

With The Sims 4’s To Be Continued Fall/Winter season underway, a new event is set to arrive in the game very soon. Earlier this year, the Happy at Home Event took place, the first of its kind in The Sims 4. By simply logging into the game each day for a number of weeks, players could unlock rewards such as new cosmetics, clothes, and objects. This has since been and gone, and with the impending release of The Sims 4 Life and Death Expansion Pack, a new spooky event is set to begin. The Reaper’s Rewards Event, which involves the iconic Grim Reaper, will start from September 24th 7am PST. Over several weeks, players will be given the opportunity to complete special tasks in the game to earn unique rewards. New extensive details have been released on this new event, so let’s take a closer look so you know what to expect and what you need to do to get those rewards and make the most of this event.

This is a time-limited event, which will end on October 12th, so make sure you waste no time in completing tasks to earn those rewards.

How to Complete the Reaper’s Rewards Event

This event is a little more involved than the Happy at Home Event, where you just had to keep logging into The Sims 4 once each day. For the Reaper’s Rewards Event, you’ll need to actively play in Live Mode and perform set tasks to unlock rewards. The event lasts for six weeks, with an additional two weeks added on in case you need to do some catching up. Each week, there will be two quests that you need to complete. There will also be a set number of rewards you can get per week. As the weeks go on, you’ll get new quests and the chance to earn new rewards.

From September 24th, keep your eyes open when you go to play any of your Sims. First, make sure you’re logged in with your EA Account so the Event will work and you can get your rewards. In Live Mode, the first set of quests are presented in pop-up form. At any time, you can access the Event Screen via the Event Icon. Event Points are earned by completing tasks and quests, which you can then use to claim rewards. These rewards are claimed through the Event Screen, either from the Main Menu or Live Mode, by simply selecting Claim. Rewards you have unlocked can be found in Build Mode, Create-A-Sim, or your Sim’s Inventory. If you’re having trouble locating your new items, there’s a special filter for Event Rewards under the Special category.

You can track the Reaper's Rewards Event in the Event Screen.

Rewards in the Reaper’s Rewards Event

Now you know a little more about how the event works and how to claim rewards, let’s go deeper into the rewards for this event so you know what you can get for all your efforts.

Week 1: The Grimophone, Earrings of Imminent Demise, Scare Seeker Lot Challenge

In the first week, you’ll get a classic gramophone (or Grimophone) to listen to music with, a new set of earrings, and a new Lot Challenge. Scare Seeker Sims, instead of being afraid of things that would frighten most other Sims, get a thrill out of it.

Week 2: Trad Goth Jeans, The Green Lady’s Lost Tome

Along with a gothic pair of jeans, Sims unlock a tome that allows them to build Cooking, Gardening, and Fishing at the same time when they read it.

Week 3: Trad Goth Buckled Boots, Grim’s Cruiser Bicycle

Your Sims will get to cycle around in spooky cycle with the new bike, and wear a cool set of boots to go with it.

Week 4: Life & Death Tattoo, Portrait of Lady Mimsy Alcron Shallot in the Garden

As well as a new tattoo for Sims to sport, this week also includes an intriguing piece of artwork. It is advised that your Sims don’t spend too much time admiring it, or else things might get ‘toasty’.

Week 5: Trad Goth Button-Up, Spectral Spritzer

There’s another new clothing item this week, plus a new drink your Sims can concoct. This beverage will temporarily turn your Sim into a ghost when consumed!

Week 6: Prowling Peepers, Casket of Quiet Repose

In the final week of the Reaper’s Rewards Event, Sims can unlock an unusual eye color, plus a casket. It looks like this one may be a functional one that Sims can sleep in, according to the info provided, making this the first coffin outside of The Sims 4 Vampire Game Pack.

Over the 6-8 weeks of the Reaper's Rewards Event, you can unlock a bunch of spooky stuff.
