Fury of a General

Fury of a General

Continuing from Version 2.4, Version 2.5 of Honkai: Star Rail will see the continuation and conclusion of the Xianzhou Wardance Festival, the star of the new Trailblaze Continuance. The next chapter in the main story, Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue II, will be added for all players to enjoy and will see the arrival of the official Wardance festivities as well as the hoards of Borisins led by their voracious leader, Hoolay.

It looks like competitors from all over the galaxy will enter the Wardance, with Luka, Hook and even Argenti being seen in the trailer alongside other prominent Lufou characters like Qingque. As the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus rise once again and Hoolay’s beasts begin their assault on the Lufou, chaos will ensue during the Wardane Festival, with General Fexiaio being at the heart of the madness.

Alongside the Trailblaze Continuance, 2.5 will also add a new Weekly Echo of War Boss, Eclyptic Inner Beast and the Shadow of Feixiao. This three-phase fight will have you battle against Feixiao and her summonable dragon companion, with Fexiaio able to increase the damage of her ally per unbroken part of its body. To counter this, you need to focus on breaking as many parts of the Ecluptic Inner Beast as possible. The material from this Weekly Boss will be used to level up the Traces of several new characters.

Feixiao, The Merlin's Claw

Feixiao, The Merlin’s Claw

Of course, Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 will also bring three new characters for Trailblazers to pull on. The first is the fearsome Feixiao, the Merlin’s Claw and General of the Xianzhou Yaoqing. As our first 5-star Wind Hunt unit, Feixiao is a force of nature dedicated to fighting the Abundance Abominations wherever in the galaxy they may appear. In combat, Feixiao will accumulate Flying Aureus as she attacks enemies with her gun blades (Basic Attack) or battleaxe (Skill), allowing her to perform a powerful Follow-Up Attack after an ally acts. Furthermore, during her Ultimate, Feixiao will consume all Flying Aureus stacks to rain down terror upon her foes.

The other new 5-star character coming in Version 2.5 is Lingsha, a Fire Abundance character and the new head of the Lufou’s Alchemy Commission. This talented healer and alchemist uses her potent sense of smell to diagnose illnesses before they propagate, allowing her to excel in her position. As a combatant, Lingsha is very similar to Gallagher, another Fire Abundance unit that specialises in Break Effect. Lingsha’s rabbit companion will launch Follow-Up Attacks and strip allies of debuffs after being summoned via Lingsha’s Skill. Meanwhile, her Ultimate deals damage to all opponents and heals all allies while also inflicting the Befog debuff, which greatly increases Break DMG.

Finally, one new 4-star character will also become playable during 2.5 and that’s the shadowy and solemn Moze, Feixiao’s Shadow Guard. Moze battles the forces of evil from the darkness, striking with extreme brutality to ensure the Yaoqing’s safety… although, he’s also a bit of a clean freak. As a Lightning Hunt unit, Moze is a new damage dealer who pairs well with Feixaio as a sub-DPS. His Skill marks one enemy as Prey, causing him to enter the Departed state and deal additional damage if other allies deal damage to the marked target.

Phase One of Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 will feature Feixiao and her Light Cone, I Venture Forth to Hunt, as well as a new type of rerun banner. Players will get to choose between Robin, Black Swan, or Kafka as their featured Warp 5-star. You can switch between the three at will whenever you like and the pulls between each are shared, just like a regular banner. No matter who you choose, Moze, Asta, and Luka will all star as rate-up 4-stars.

Meanwhile, Phase Two will see the release of Lingsha and her Light Cone, Scent Alone Stays True, as well as a rerun for Topaz and Numby. In this phase, the featured 4-stars will be Misha, Natasha, and Guinaifen.

Version 2.5 will add the Skysplitter as a new explorable location. This area is home to the stadium where the Wardance Festival’s main tournament will be held and will be the primary location of 2.5’s flagship event, the Luminary Wardance Ceremony. In this event, we’ll become Luka’s trainer and assistant, guiding him through various battles and encounters as he tries to prove the pride and might of Belobog among the stars.

The Luminary Wardance Ceremony will award successful combatants with Stellar Jade, upgrade resources, and even the game’s first summonable pet. You’ll be able to earn the Pet Tuskpir, a Numby-like companion who you can summon to follow you wherever you go, as well as the final three Eidolons for March 7th’s Hunt form

Other events coming in 2.5 include Festive Revelry, an event celebrating the various puzzle mechanisms around the Lufou, an update to the Divergent Universe – which will bring new Curios, new Domains, a higher Synchronicity level cap, and two new Planar Ornament sets – as well as a rerun of Realm of the Strange. We’ll also get the usual Gift of Odyssey log-in campaign where all players can earn 10 free pulls by simply logging in for 7 days during the version update
