Heads up fellow assassins, we’ve arrived in the autumn season where IO Interactive is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To mark this milestone, they’ve prepared a range of exciting new content for players to enjoy in HITMAN: World of Assassination. Throughout this anniversary-themed roadmap, there’ll be elusive targets new and old, new unlocks, featured contracts, seasonal events, and the 25th anniversary challenge. There’s plenty in store for this month of content, let’s take a look at what’s coming.

Elusive Targets
This month IO Interactive are giving players three Elusive targets. Here’s a quick recap on what Elusive Targets are, these are limited-timed contracts involving one or more targets. The main catch to these contracts is that you only get one opportunity to complete them. Unique rewards are available to those who are able to complete specific these contracts, so get to work once they’re available.
The Bad Boy
The first Elusive Target takes place in the gorgeous Italian coastal town of Sapienza. Starting on October 13th, Bartholomew Argus will be wandering around a huge movie set at night. Take him out in this limited-time mission before he disappears from the public eye.
The Food Critic
The second Elusive Target takes players to the Himmapan Hotel in Bangkok. The target, Wen Ts’ai, is the infamous food critic across the Pacific Rim, and beyond. His harsh criticism made numerous enemies in the culinary world. He’ll be reviewing the Himmapan Hotel on October 20th, a perfect opportunity to get acquainted with some poison.
The Drop
The final Elusive Target coming in this new roadmap is a brand-new contract for HITMAN: World of Assassination. The new contract involves eliminating international superstar DJ/Actor, Dimitri Vegas. They take on the role of “The Drop”, a DJ turned drug impresario bent on controlling the scene one way or another. Take down Alexios Laskardis (Dimitri Vegas), in this limited-time mission starting October 27th.
Seasonal Challenges
Faster Than Rocco Challenge
Starting October 5th, a new sniper assassin challenge will be available, highlighting that speed is the name of the game. The task is to complete The Last Yardbird mission in 1 minute 47 seconds or less. On completion, players will unlock the Sniper Challenge Suit, a classic combination of a white shirt, black pants, and red tie.
Codename 47 Challenge
To celebrate the 25th anniversary, IO Interactive presents the Codename 47 Challenge. Visit various locations in the World of Assassination whilst fulfilling challenges to unlock the Retro Codename 47 suit. This challenge goes live on October 26th for a limited time.
A Nightmare in Hawkes Bay
Now to celebrate the spooky season with a new seasonal challenge available for all players. Play on a spooky version of the Hawkes Bay mission, and complete the brand new challenge involving the Bat Shuriken. Once the challenges have been completed, players will unlock the frightful Halloween outfit, featuring a sturdy and elegant trench coast and a lifelike Jack-O-Lantern mask. This challenge begins October 26th for a limited time.
Twitch Drop
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of IO Interactive, they will be launching their very first Twitch Drop. To unlock the stylish Purple Streak Suit, watch other players take on the new Elusive Target on October 27th live on Twitch.
There’s also the upcoming game update 3.170, set to arrive at the end of October. This update is said to feature game fixes, tweaks, and Quality of life improvements. Specific details will come later when the patch notes are released closer to the release date.
Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal
Finally, we have a special surprise for IO Interactive’s 25th Anniversary, with Hitman: Blood Money getting an enhanced version for Nintendo Switch and Mobile. The game will contain all twelve sandbox missions from the original with a number of key enhancements. This includes instinct mode, allowing players to locate key targets and objectives, an ever-present mini-map and numerous gameplay enhancements. There isn’t a firm release date other than sometime in Winter.
