The first Expansion Pack of 2023 for The Sims 4 has just been revealed in a new trailer, titled Growing Together. This Expansion focuses on family life in The Sims 4, bringing new gameplay for all ages in the game, from babies to elderly Sims. The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion will release on March 16th, which will be two days after a free major update that will introduce infants to The Sims 4 base game, a brand-new life stage.
Since the first roadmap of 2023 for The Sims 4 was revealed earlier this year, one Expansion Pack teaser got fans intrigued as to what it could be. There was speculation that this could be The Sims 4‘s take on The Sims 3 Generations, an Expansion Pack that added new gameplay oriented around families. As it turns out, fans were right about this teaser, as this is exactly what The Sims 4 Growing Together is all about.
Growing Together will bring lots of exciting activities, objects, and interactions for every life stage in The Sims 4, as well as a brand-new world. Gameplay includes being able to unlock and change traits through life events such as midlife crises. Another new feature is social chemistry, preferences that affect whether Sims can be compatible to be friends, or destined to clash and become enemies. As a family-themed Expansion, family relationships is also core to gameplay, and can be impacted by events throughout your Sims’ lives.
In Growing Together, your Sims can build a treehouse, among many other new activities.
San Sequoia is the new world that comes with Growing Together. The name was shown in the roadmap teaser, along with the Michaelson family, who also come with this Expansion. San Sequoia is located along an ocean bay, once a fishing village that has since developed into a bustling town.
New objects and activities include jigsaw puzzles and mahjong, baby carriers, BMX bikes, baby changing tables, the ability to build treehouses, sandpits, and lots more. Also, as with every DLC in The Sims 4, there will be plenty of new Create-A-Sim content to outfit your Sims in.
The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack will be released on March 16th and will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles. The standard price for The Sims 4 Expansions are $39.99 USD. If you buy Growing Together before April 27th, you’ll get 3 unique limited-time items, including an infant carrier, swing set, and toddler slide.
