A new livestream was just released on what players will be getting in Version 3.2 of Genshin Impact, including 2 new playable characters, a new weekly boss and plenty of free Primogems. Genshin Impact Version 3.2 Livestream Overview: Release Date, New Characters

Hoyoverse just held their usual livestream for the next update of Genshin Impact, Version 3.2. This is the third major update related to the region of Sumeru. While it won’t contain any new areas or locations, it does herald the end of the Sumeru storyline as well as introduce some significant new characters for Travellers to use and a brand new Weekly Boss for them to beat down.

Add onto that the new events coming in Version 3.2, as well as some sweet free Primogems, and this is something you’ll want to see.

Here’s an overview of everything coming to Version 3.2 of Genshin Impact.

Free Primogems

First, let’s unpack those free Primogems. Each of the following codes gives 100 Primo alongside some additional upgrade materials. In total, you’ll make off with 300 free Primogems just from entering these codes.

Sumeru Archon Quest Act V

The main thing coming in Version 3.2 of Genshin Impact is the finale of the Sumeru Archon quest. Previously, Acts 1 and 2 were released in Version 3.0 whereas Version 3.1 bought with it Acts 3 and 4. Now, in Act 5, the story will conclude.

After the events of Acts 3 and 4, the Travellers and their allies must figure out a way to storm the Akademiya and rescue the Dendro Archon. Meanwhile, another insidious force gathers its power in preparation for a mighty showdown with the Traveller and all those who stand alongside them, paving the way for an epic final clash to the Sumeru storyline.

While this is the end of the Archon Quest, it is surely not the last time we will be visiting Sumeru. There will be plenty of other chances to explore this beautiful region and meet fantastic new people.

Another thing coming in Version 3.2 is a new story quest for the Dendro Archon herself, Nahida (or Lesser Lord Kusanali) called Sapientia Oromasdis Chapter: Act 1.

New Weekly Boss – The Balladeer

Alongside the new Archon Quest content comes a brand new Weekly Boss. In Genshin Impact, Weekly Bosses are massive monsters or incredibly tough opponents who drop resources used to upgrade character Talents past level 7 and up to level 10. They can only be fought once per week inside special Trounce Domains.

In Genshin Impact Version 3.2 another Weekly Boss is added to that rank with The Balladeer. Once just a sadistic member of the Fatui, Scaramouche the Balladeer has branched off on his path now, one where he intends to reach Godhood.

When we meet him in battle, it seems that he has gotten his way as we will fight him in his new, gigantic puppet form. This fight will likely unlock as a result of completing Act 5 of the Sumeru Archon Quest.

The Balladeer boss fight will have two main phases. In the first, he will attack you with his four massive arms, each of which is capable of spawning different Elements such as Pyro or Cryo. He will also spread Burning or Freezing residue on the ground that can damage and harm your party.

In the second phase, he towers to an insane height and your normal attacks become void. Together with a little Dendro ally, you must work together to wear down the Balladeer’s monstrous form and take down his weak points so that you can achieve victory.

Version 3.2 New Characters

Genshin Impact Version 3.2 also adds 2 new characters to the mix for Travellers to summon. These are the Dendro Archon Lesser Lord Kusanali herself and a new member of the Akademiya called Layla.

Nahida – Lesser Lord Kusanali

If you’ve completed any significant part of the Sumeru Archon Quest, you are surely familiar with the figure that is the Dendro Archon. This small child-like God is the youngest of all the Archons and despite her status as the God of Wisdom, seems to still have some learning to do about the outside world. In Version 3.2, you will finally be able to recruit Nahida to your team and use the God of Dendro in battle.

Nahida is a 5-star Dendro Catalyst capable of both DPS and Support capabilities. She has some pretty unique animations and attacks that set her apart from other characters in Genshin Impact.

Her Normal Attack has Nahida dancing to a beat as Dendro attacks spew out from beneath her, damaging any who come near. Like all Catalyst users, this will deal Dendro Elemental Damage directly and instantly apply Dendro to opponents.

Nahida’s Elemental Skill has her taking up her hands like a viewfinder, scanning her environment. This Skill has a held mode where Nahida can scan and mark enemies – when one of these marked enemies is hit by a Dendro Reaction, all marked enemies will take the damage. This includes the damage dealt by Dendro Cores created by Bloom. Her Passive Talent also allows Nahida to use this Skill to quickly scoop up a lot of Specialities around Teyvat without having to pick them up herself.

Lastly, her Elemental Burst creates a massive field of Dendro around her in the shape of a royal chamber. While in this field, the party gets bonus effects depending on how many Hydro, Pyro or Electro characters are in the team. The benefits inherited by this Burst will remain active even if Nahida is not on the field.

Layla – Fantastical Evening Star

Layla is the other new character joining Genshin Impact in Version 3.2. As a scholar in training at the Akademiya, Layla is frightful and anxious about her studies – so much so that she seems to be severely sleep-deprived. However, when she is finally able to fall asleep, her true power awakens and everything that once seemed daunting is now doable and easy.

Layla is a 4-star Cryo Sword character with Supportive capabilities. She can generate a shield as well as produce some good opportunities for Cryo Reactions with other party members.

Her Elemental Skill has Layla falling to sleep suddenly in battle, creating a special shield around her. When Elemental damage is dealt while the shield is active, it will gain one special Star. When it reaches 4 Stars, they turn into homing Cryo Stars that seek out opponents and deal Cryo damage on hit.

Layla’s Elemental Burst is a wide-range AoE similar to Ganyu where stars will rain down from above. This causes Cryo damage and will help aid Layla’s Shield and her Star generation.

Version 3.2 Event Wishes

Both Nahida and Layla will be available in Genshin Impact Version 3.2 through the event Wish Banner. Nahida will get her dedicated Banner whereas Layla will be appearing as a rate-up 4-star on another Banner.

During the first half of Version 3.2, Nahida – The Moongrass Enlightened will be running alongside the return of the beloved Inazuman character Yoimiya – Tapestry of Golden Flames.

Meanwhile, in the second half of Version 3.2, Tartaglia – Farewell of Snezhnaya makes his 4th rerun and the first rerun of Yae Miko – Everbloom Violet. The new 4-star character Layla will appear on both Childe and Miko’s Banners.

Alongside these, a new 5-star Catalyst called A Thousand Floating Dreams will be available through the Weapon Event Banner during Nahida and Yoimiya’s run in Version 3.2.

New 3.2 Events

Lastly, let’s go over the new Events coming in Genshin Impact Version 3.2.

First, and arguably most important, is the Fabulous Fungus Frenzy Event. In Sumeru, a certain researcher has organized a fabulous Beast Tamer Tournament with the aid of a wealthy, enigmatic sponsor. You can take part in this festival by catching your Fungi, training and raising them (even giving them a name) before battling alongside them in a later part of the tournament. If you manage to complete the event, you’ll be rewarded with a Crown of Insight, level-up materials, Primogems and even a free copy of the 4-star Electro Claymore Dori.

Next is the Adventurer’s Trials Event. The leader of the Mondstadt Adventurer’s Guild, Cyrus, has organised a series of trials and activities for you and your friends to take part in which will challenge you in some strange and obscure ways. These include using Yelan to quickly weave between massive obstacle orbs, using Xiao’s famous plunging attack to reset platforms or using Klee’s bombs to knock slimes into goals. There are plenty of new things to try in this event and these characters will be provided as Trial characters to use throughout the event.

Another new Event is the return of the Hypostatic Symphony: Dissonant Verse. This event asks Travellers to fight against the game’s various Hypostasis bosses with different modifiers and challenges active. In Version 3.2, a new challenger arrives in the form of the Dendro Hypostasis, a new boss who will also be available in the overworld. Take on this event to earn some nice weapon enhancement materials and, of course, a healthy helping of Primogems.

Finally, a returning character needs our help in Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens: Greenery Chapter. A friend we once helped in Inazuma is once again asking us for aid in helping them come up with some new inspiration. We will need to travel around Sumeru taking pictures of certain actions or events to start the creative juices in our ally overseas. This event awards Mora, Character EXP materials and Primogems.

Quality of Life

Last but not least, some new quality-of-life updates are making their way to Genshin Impact.

In Version 3.2, a replication feature is coming to the Serenitea Pot, allowing players to replicate the structures and designs of other Traveller’s Tea Pots. This will certainly help those who don’t have to time or the skill to still create beautiful works within their personal pots. It also seems that a new Serenitea Pot location is coming as well, in the form of a Sumeru layout.

Lastly, in Version 3.3 two new languages will be added to the game for players to use: Turkish and Italian.

That is everything you need to know from the Genshin Impact Version 3.2 Livestream. Version 3.2 starts on November 2nd and will last until December 7th
