Genshin Impact 3.3 Livestream Reveals Playable Scaramouche, New Game Mode and Free Primogems

Hoyoverse just aired another one of their Version preview livestreams for Genshin Impact, specifically for the upcoming Version 3.3. This is the first update after the conclusion of the Sumeru Archon Quest, leaving the door open for a bunch of different possibilities in the future.

The livestream gave us a good look at the new and returning character Banners coming in the new Version update, what new Events will be available during 3.3, some free Primogem codes and more. There’s a lot to look forward to in Genshin Impact Version 3.3.

Here’s everything you need to know about Version 3.3.

Free Primogem Codes

New Characters and Character Banners

The biggest thing to be revealed was that we are getting two new characters in Version 3.3 of Genshin Impact. One of which is a very long-awaited character.

Once the Fatui Harbinger The Balladeer or Scaramouche, he has now become The Wanderer. Setting aside his past and his Electro Vision for an Anemo Vision, The Wanderer is a 5-star Anemo Catalyst. He uses long-ranged Wind Blades in his Normal Attacks and can hover/fly using his Elemental Skill (which will buff his Normal and Charged Attacks). Meanwhile, his Elemental Burst has him step down on the ground, compressing the atmosphere and dealing massive Anemo damage in a huge AoE.

The Wanderer will get a variety of buffs and bonuses, including some unique buffs depending on what Elements he Swirls using his Normal/Charged Attacks. A lot of his Passives and Talents give him additional ways to keep him airborne for a longer period of time.

If you want to spend some additional time with the Wanderer and learn how he came to be in this state, you can check out the Archon Quest Interlude Chapter – Genesis, which is also launching in Version 3.3

The other new character is called Faruzan, the Enigmatic Machinist. She is a 4-star Anemo Bow character, the first since the 5-star Venti all the way back at Genshin Impact’s launch. Faruzan is a mysterious researcher from ‘hundred years ago’ who enjoys her seniority and status within the Akademiya.

Her Elemental Skill spawns a mechanical polyhedron that attacks enemies – the first Aimed Attack used after the Skill will be buffed, creating a vortex on hit. Faruzan’s Skill will also leave a mark on enemies or allies that it hits, creating a Vortex after a short duration. Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst spawns a massive mechanical structure that zips around the battlefield, deploying Anemo Whirlwind Pulses which decrease the enemy’s Anemo RES and buff Anemo damage within the party for a short time.

Version 3.3 Banners

The first half of Version 3.3 will have Character Banners for the new 5-star Anemo Catalyst Wanderer, as well as a rerun for the 5-star Geo Claymore Arataki Itto. The new 4-star Anemo Bow Faruzan will be available as a rate-up 4-star on both of these Banners.

Meanwhile, in the second half of Version 3.3, two new 5-star characters take their place. The Raiden Shogun, the 5-star Electro Polearm and Archon of Inazuma, gets her second rerun. She is joined by Kamisato Ayato, a 5-star Hydro Sword character, who is being rerun for the first time.

A new 5-star Catalyst will also be available on the Unique Weapon Wish during the first half of Version 3.3.

New Permanent Activity – Genius Invokation TCG

In Version 3.3, players will finally be able to play the Trading Card Game that the people of Teyvat have been playing for years: Genius Invokation TCG.

Travellers can challenge various NPCs and characters around Teyvat to card game battles. Players will build a deck around character cards based on Genshin Impact’s various characters, who each can use their respective Elemental Skills and Elemental Bursts within the Card Game. You will duel opponents using Elemental Reactions and powerful combos to take down the enemy’s health points until a winner is decided.

Actions require Elemental Dice to act during the round. Travellers roll these Dice before each round, with 8 chances to land on 8 different Elements (the 7 core Elements and an Omni-Element, which corresponds to any Element). These Elemental Dice can be used to activate character cards or switch characters out for Elemental Reactions.

Once players have duelled enough characters, they can trade in their winnings for new cards, reactive card skins (which make the characters become animated in the card art) and more. You will also be able to challenge your friends to Genius Invokation TCG games.

New Events

The headlining event for Version 3.3 is the Akitsu Kimodameshi event. Also known as the Test of Courage, This Event tasks Travellers with completing certain spooky tasks and events. They will also be playing a Genshin Impact-flavoured version of Breakout with Elemental Reactions and skills. The Event will reward players with a brand new 4-star Sword based on a Yokai called Toukabou Shigure as well as plenty of level-up materials.

Across the Wilderness is a race event across all of Teyvat. You will need to find as many Wilderness Balloons as possible within a certain time limit to hit maximum rewards. You’ll be finding Balloons in Mondstadt, atop Beidou’s pirate ship, the deserts of Sumeru and more.

The Windtrace Event returns in Version 3.3. Players split up into two teams – hiders (Rebels) and seekers (Hunters). One team disguises itself as props and items in the environment, while the other hunts them down. In this version of Windtrace, Rebels who get caught early can still impact the game by disrupting the Hunters and guiding them off course. Hunters get a few new tools, too, including new tools to hunt down the sneaky Rebels.

Lastly, a new version of the Misty Dungeon has arrived in Version 3.3. Players will be given a wide array of Trial characters to use in specific challenges and activities in dungeons themed around Sumeru’s Deshret Desert.

An additional bonus is that Version 3.3 of Genshin Impact will have some Leyline Distortion Events.
