Everything You Need to Know From the Genshin Impact 4.3 Livestream

The Genshin Impact Version 4.3 Special Program just wrapped up, giving Travelers a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next Version update which is set to arrive in a few weeks. From the addition of two new characters – including the first new Geo character in over 2 years – to a bunch of fun-looking events to a whole host of impactful gameplay optimisations, Version 4.3 is looking pretty stacked and you can find a break of everything revealed in the livestream below.

Firstly, as always, here are all of the special redemption codes that were given out during the 4.3 Special Program. Each code will net you 100 Primogems (for a total of 300 Primos) as well as a handful of

Next, let’s go over who is joining Genshin Impact in Version 4.3. The first new character was one of the main faces of the Fontaine Archon Quest, Navia. As a 5-star Geo Claymore, Navia is the first new Geo character to join Genshin in over 2 years, which is why it’s so fitting that much of her kit focuses on Geo’s main Reaction, Crystallise. For each Elemental Shard your team collects, Navia will gain one charge which powers up her Elemental Skill where she fires off the hidden firearm within her Gunbrella. That isn’t all the firepower she’s packing, of course, with some superb Normal Attack animations, the ability to infuse her weapons with Geo and a bombastic Elemental Burst.

Navia isn’t alone in version 4.3, though, as a fellow Fontanian, Chevreuse, accompanies her. This straight-laced musket-wielding 4-star Pyro Polearm character is sure to make a splash with her interesting kit. Similar to Navia, Chevreuse’s Elemental Skill pulls out her signature weapon, a massive musket, which she can use to fire upon enemies from afar. Additionally, Chevreuse can lower resistance to Pyro and Electro when causing the Overload Reaction so, in most team composition, she should be paired with fellow Pyro or Electro characters to maximise her potential fully.

Of course, you’re probably wondering which banners these new units will be on and who is going to rerunning during Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact. During phase 1 of 4.3, Navia will be available as one of the rate-up 5-stars on the Special Event Wish alongside Kamisato Ayaka. Meanwhile, in phase 2, the Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon of Inazuma, will be rerunning alongside the spunky Yoimiya.

In addition, Chevreuse will be available on rate-up on either of the phase 2 banners.

Alongside the new characters in Version 4.3, the new flagship event Roses and Muskets will also be launching. The event’s narrative has you teaming up with Furina to shoot a film alongside some familiar Inazuman faces for a chance to win a special Fontanian award. As for what you’ll be doing in the event, you’ll be participating in everything from long-range target practice with a sniper, a black-and-white combat event with infinitely respawning enemies and even a herding mini-game involving strange beings called Mecha Balls. The main reward for Roses and Muskets is a new 4-star Claymore – the Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword – and you’ll also be able to obtain its necessary refinement materials.

Other Version 4.3 events include a new addition to the famed Arataki Itto Beetle Battle series of events. In Arataki Armor Blazing Beetle Battle Boot Camp, Itto and some of his companies from the previous Beetle Battle event have arrived in Liyue searching for new opponents and new ways to grow their Onikabuto. Additionally, the Fontanian edition of the Lost Riches event will also arrive in 4.3, allowing you to pick up a new coloured Seelie companion who can even dive beneath Fontaine’s choppy waters, something no other Lost Riches Seelie can do. Lastly, our old friend Liben is returning for the fourth annual Marvelous Merchandise event.

Finally, a large number of gameplay optimisation features are coming in Genshin Impact 4.3 including several important Quality of Life features focused on artifacts, weapons and character levelling, streamlining several aspects of the Archon Quest focused on the Chasm and, most importantly, one-click expeditions. You can find a full list of all the upcoming optimisations in the 4.3 Developer Discussion
