Hailey Scott, the New Descendant

The main star of The First Descendant‘s Season 1 Invasion Update will be the latest Chill Type Descendant to grace the game, Hailey Scott. Hailey is a Ranged DPS who uses an anti-materiel sniper cannon made of frozen moisture. She uses Chill-infused beams and bullets to defeat her enemies.

Just like previous Descendants before her, Hailey also has five Skills, comprised of a Passive Skill and four Active Skills, as you can see below: 

• [Passive Skill] Safe Strategic Retreat: The “Weak Point Damage” decreases when attacking nearby enemies, and increases when attacking distant enemies.
• [Active Skill 1] Cryo Round: Fires multiple Cryo Rounds at enemies to deal damage and inflict “Cryo.” Enemies inflicted with “Cryo” receive additional damage from Hailey’s firearm attacks.
• [Active Skill 2] Storm Snare: “Knocks back” enemies with a “Chill Vortex” and fires a giant Freezing Beam. Hit enemies are inflicted with “Cryo.”
• [Active Skill 3] Cold Fury: Grants “Cold Fury” to herself every second. While in the “Cold Fury” state, her Movement Speed gradually decreases, but her Firearm Penetration and Critical Hit Rate for Firearms and Skills all increase significantly. Once “Cold Fury” reaches maximum stacks, she becomes immune to “Knockdown” and her Firearm and Skill Critical Hit Damage increases.
• [Active Skill 4] Zenith: Equips her “Unique Weapon.” When attacking with the “Unique Weapon,” greatly increases Penetration and Firearm ATK and deals additional Chill skill damage. Recovers MP upon attacking Weak Points. When the “Unique Weapon” skill ends, decreases the Cooldown of the skill depending on the number of bullets.

For fans who want to get Hailey Scott, they must first challenge the new Invasion Dungeons, which is available after you complete all existing main quests, and progress through the main quest “How to Hide the Truth” to unlock the new content “Invasion Dungeon.”

Invasion Dungeons

The next major game content that is coming to The First Descendant with the arrival of its Season 1 Invasion is the Invasion Dungeons. Invasion Dungeons are the new content type that can only be done solo and will be present daily by replacing two Hard Infiltration Operations with the new Invasion Dungeons.

Also coming to Season 1 will be Inversion Reinforcement, a new and limited-time buff for the players to help ease their challenges when fighting in Invasion Dungeons. You can improve the buffs by acquiring “Ironheart Particles (Inversion Reinforcement EXP)” to level up your “Inversion Reinforcer”, and there are 5 types of Inversion Reinforcement Effects: “Hunt,” “Attribute,” “Recovery,” “Survival,” and “Season.”

Content Improvements in The First Descendant’s Season 1

In addition to Hailey and Invasion Dungeons, The First Descendant also prepares numerous new content through its Battle Pass, and game mechanics improvements. 

The new Invasion Battle Pass features tons of rewards, including a new Ultimate Weapon, EXCAVA, a deadly Assault Rifle that stores voltage through defeating enemies and will then fire high-powered energy grenades. Just like Sigvore’s Proof, you can get it for free as long as you manage to reach the adequate Battle Pass level. Additionally, players who have the Premium Battle Pass can acquire the helmetless head skins of Bunny (Exhilarating Breakaway), Valby (For Freedom), and Sharen (Tactical Decision).

Besides the Battle Pass, The First Descendant brings many content improvements that are intended to help the players, and we have curated the most important changes below:

1. Added visual hints (Ecive effects, chat messages) for locating Encrypted Vaults.
2. Increased the EXP reward for completing Hard Infiltration Operations. Also increased EXP for defeating monsters by 1.5 times.
3. Removed the starting requirements (Void Shards) of Void Fusion Reactors and added requirements (Void Shards) to the Reconstructed Devices that appear in Fusion Reactors.
4. Improved so that only one type of shard is required when using the Reconstructed Device in a Void Fusion Reactor.
5. Made improvements so that the Amorphous Materials linked to Fusion Reactors are displayed in the acquisition information, like Intercept Battles.
6. Reduced research time for [Standard/Precision] Ion Accelerator, Phase Exchanger, and Adjustment Control Axis.

7. Made improvements to allow the ability to designate the quantity of research when researching enhancement materials.
