Frozen District Releases House Flipper 2 on Steam

Half a decade later, fans are finally seeing the sequel to Frozen District's most popular game, House Flipper. Return to the grungy, molted buildings in desperate need of repair and see what new additions and changes have been made in this casual simulator game. This game may be worth checking out for those who love demolition and renovation.

House Flipper 2 Gameplay Introduction

House Flipper 2 is officially out for all the flippers-to-be to download on the popular game distributor, Steam. This highly anticipated sequel promises many quality-of-life fixes that were a previous setback in Frozen District’s previous game and will operate on an entirely different game engine for better graphics quality and execution of tasks. Many of the tools from the original House Flipper will still be around, such as the hammer, the paint roller, and the mop because decorating a space is difficult until it’s had a proper and thorough clean. Discover many of the other additional tools that have been added or altered in this sequel to unlock an entirely new world of flipping houses.

Release Date and Pricing

House Flipper 2 was originally released on its Steam store page on December 14th, starting at the price of $34.99 in celebration of its official publishing. The full price of the game is currently $39.99 for the game alone, though there are many sales in the future and bundles to discover. The bundles available include the Complete Flipping Experience where players can purchase both House Flipper and House Flipper 2, and the House Flipper Franchise Bundle, which will include both games as well as the DLCs that Frozen District created for the original House Flipper. Many of these DLCs only add to the experience by implementing more furnishing choices, different game modes, and the ability to decorate the yards outside of the house.

Because of its publication on Steam, players can look forward to House Flipper 2 being added to any sale that occurs on this platform such as holiday sales, publisher sales, and many more. So if the original price is straining on the bank, the game can be added to the player’s wishlist and they can keep a proper eye on it whenever a sale rolls around.

Present and Future Platforms

Although House Flipper 2 is only available for PC users currently, console users can expect to see it expand to their platform on March 21, 2024. Game developers are already working on integrating the changes and will continue to post updates as things progress.

  • House Flipper 2 | PC/Steam | $39.99
  • House Flipper 2 | PlayStation 5 | Xbox | TBA

What Has Improved or Been Added in House Flipper 2?

Some of the best improvements players can look forward to when delving into House Flipper 2 are quality fixes to wall repairs, vacuuming, tiling, and painting. In the previous game, tiling and painting were very costly in the beginning due to the way the UI selects the wall for players to decorate. Painting over completed walls is a perk that can be unlocked, but the primary concern was that paint ran out exceedingly fast within the first game. Since then, there have been updates to the original game, but for the sequel, players will be grateful for the fixes that game devs have learned from the last game.

But as a sequel, there are many changes to look forward to, the biggest of which is different game modes. In House Flipper 2, there will be a Story Mode that will teach the player about the ins and outs of the new gameplay as well as a Sandbox Mode that expands on player creativity. They will be able to build houses from the ground up with a flying mechanic similar to Minecraft Creative Mode and have a free range of materials, furniture, and other decor available in the game.

There is also a new tool in the game called the Flipper Tool which will allow the player to sell items, change or copy, and duplicate the selected piece of furniture. Players are also able to copy colors that are on objects, such as painted ones, and will be able to use a Dropper Tool so they don’t have to trial run a myriad of paint buckets to match up the right color.
