If you’re bored of Diablo 2: Resurrected’s current ladder economy and wanting a leaderboard reset, it will happen soon. February 16 will be the date for those that want to venture the next ladder season.
Just like season 1 & 2, this ladder will include new content not featured in the legacy versions of Diablo 2. Season 3 or patch 2.6 will include eight new runewords. Most of these new runewords are fairly easy to obtain even for those that might never seen a high rune drop. There is also only one high rune required runeword called Metamorphosis. The runeword promises to boast some beneficial stats to melee-driven builds like crushing blow and cannot be frozen. However, Metamorphosis does require the second hardest to obtain rune to make; a Cham rune. These new runewords will be available for those that prefer to play the game on Single Player.
As of February 8, Sunder Charms will be available for the non-Ladder or Single Player users to obtain them legitimately.
This will be the third ladder season for Diablo 2: Resurrected’s lifespan. It will be the first one to happen in the year of 2023.
Since the first ladder season, Diablo 2: Resurrected has been providing Diablo 2 fanatics new content. Whether it was brand new runewords, reworking under utilized skills, and introducing a new endgame activity to do. The third season seems to be following the first and second season’s footsteps.
Outside of Diablo 2: Resurrected, Blizzard Entertainment is working on another Diablo project that is planned to be released this year. Diablo IV is confirmed to be released on June 6 for both previous and current generations of the Xbox and PlayStation consoles. It will also be featured the platform the series originated from: PC.
Diablo IV will be the next major installment for the series since 2012. Diablo III was originally released on that year as a PC only title.
